This is a lovely, quiet and relaxing place to stay. There is a sitting room with tea and coffee making facilities, and a bedroom and ensuite, all clean and well cared for. It's not self catering but a fridge was provided which was great. It's located very near to the local chip shop and Chinese (ask for disposable cutlery if you want to eat back at the digs!), and a pub that does meals. We really loved staying here and will stay here again next time we visit Monkey World 😃

Well maintained, clean, comfortable and quiet accommodation well located as a base to explore Isle of Purbeck and Jurassic Coast by car, and in easy distance of Wool rail station. All basics are well provided for and guests are made welcome.

Very comfortable. Great shower. Use of private sitting area. All set in a great quiet location with a nice pub and railway and bus connections nearby. Reasonably priced and Shaun was very helpful and respected my privacy.

Typical English double faucet in the lavatory, separate cold & hot water, but I guess, when in Rome do as the Romans do :) Otherwise all was good.

Great calm location, not far from Stonehenge and Bovington Tank Museum (it was my main destination), some small shops and takeout food nearby. Parking spot. All the instruction how to self-check are very clear and described by owner precisely. Some tea/coffee/hot chocolate, drinking water, TV and couch to relax.

I am very happy with our stay at Ballantrae. It was very cozy and homely. I also want to thank you for the coffee, tea and delicious cookies, it was nice. It was clean and comfortable. The host did everything to make the guests feel at home.

Some fixtures and fitting not to the highest standards, but the price reflects that.

Good communication throughout. Off road parking, fridge, kettle with tea coffee supplies, large satellite TV. Close to sights of interest. Good value.

There's a lot of space provided for the guests. There's a bedroom and a living room available. The street the house is situated on is very quiet. It's within a walking distance from the train station, Jurassic Coaster route and a pub and some shops. The bathroom was very clean.

It was as at home,quiet and clean,free parking. We had lovely dinner at the pub ( 5 min walk).If we will travel by same route, sure, I will choose Ballantrae again

Plenty of space, clean and well equipped in a great location close to local shops and pubs. Off street parking is a bonus. Host lives on site and is very helpful. This is the 3rd time I've stayed there and its always good.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay. The bed was very comfy, and we slept very well! The accommodation was cosy and had everything we needed. The information booklet provided by the host was very useful and made our stay much easier in finding places locally to eat. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Nice house in a quiet street, in a perfect location, near to all local attractions. Perfect for exploring the Isle of Purbeck. Information booklet was very helpful. Would recommend to anyone and definitely go back again. We liked everything - really friendly and helpful hosts, everything we needed.
