Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

Being close to a fairly busy road there is traffic noise especially with the window open but not all night. Otherwise Excellent

Nothing springs to mind
Bed was very comfortable, shower/bathroom was great; breakfast was excellent and parking was extremely convenient. B&B was in town and a short walk to pubs and restaurants.

I can’t think of anything that could of been better
Good location breakfast was lovely Fiona and Martin where exceptional host very happy and helpful with information about the area . The whole b&b was very clean nice shower could not fault this b&b the best I have stayed in thank you so much Fiona can’t wait for our next stay

breakfast was fantastic, including the buffet. Room was clean and well appointed . i especially liked the small fridge to store the milk for morning tea, much better than the usual uht packets. The staff were all very helpful and friendly

Fiona is a fantastic host, very attentive and always helpful. Breakfast was plentiful and varied, (with fresh strawberries and blueberries!). The room was very spacious, beautifully decorated and super clean. And all this only 5 minutes walk from the town centre or train station! Cannot fault this place.

Nothing - everything was great and we loved our stay.
Brilliant location. Beautiful, large comfortable room with a dressing area (with tea/coffee/kettle/biscuits etc. plus a small fridge) and a lovely spacious bathroom (including shower with great water pressure... nice change from our shower at home!!). We both slept very well. We loved the honesty bar and the homely feel of the lounge - there aren't many B&Bs where we'd feel comfortable sitting and having a drink but we did here. The breakfast was delicious - piping hot, and you could really taste the quality of the ingredients. Everything was perfectly seasoned too - I have been thinking about the mushrooms ever since!! The conservatory area with the juices, hot drinks, cereal, yogurt, fresh fruit and other items was very well stocked and I was ecstatic to find Babybels in the fridge!! However, what really made our stay was Fiona - what a legend! We immediately felt really relaxed and at home and we had some great banter with her. Martin was a lovely guy too.

Lovely place , nicely decorated , and kept very clean , with comfy beds and quality linen , and spacious rooms . Great breakfast choices too, with fresh fruit and yoghurt available . Close to town centre , just a few minutes walk .
