Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomIt’s dog friendly so we enjoyed having our dog with us. She’s a nervous one so was on lead the whole time, the pod next to us also had a dog which once tried to approach us without asking so we felt the neighbour were little disrespectful but we had a great time anyway
As expected, great cosy little stay with a huge field and everything you need in side

United KingdomCould do with extra blankets on top of the duvets as a couple of people in the group felt a bit cold during the night
Stunning location and small enough campsite to not feel busy. Showers were lovely and hot, having firewood ready and waiting for us was a nice touch. The staff were very helpful when we got lost and couldn’t find the campsite.

United KingdomWe recently had the pleasure of staying at a camping site hosted by Patrick and Philippa, and I can't recommend it highly enough! From the moment we arrived, they were incredibly helpful and accommodating. The site is situated on a vast expanse of private land surrounded by beautiful forests, making it a perfect escape into nature. We had plenty of space to explore the trails, and we enjoyed countless hours playing right in front of our tent. The sitting area is fantastic, soaking up the sunshine, which was ideal for relaxation. We made great use of the BBQ facilities too—nothing beats grilling outdoors! Unfortunately, we faced a car breakdown on our first day. Patrick and Philippa went above and beyond, allowing us to park near the entrance and accommodating the recovery truck on their property. When the AA got delayed, they kindly let us keep our car for an extra day after checkout without any additional charges. Philippa even handed the key over to the AA the next day, making the whole process so much easier for us. We truly can’t thank them enough for their kindness and support. If you’re looking for a peaceful camping experience with wonderful hosts, this is the place to be!

United KingdomNothing.
Beautiful site and fantastic hosts who were extremely helpful and communicative. We felt very welcomed. Easy parking, very clean facilities, and lovely warm showers. Great atmosphere on the site and within walking distance of the high street with shops, pubs, cafes, and restaurants. This was our first camping/glamping experience with our 2 year old. She loved it and is eager to visit again.

United KingdomSuper quiet location, lovely space around the tents to BBQ, play rounders ect. We had a mixture of tents and pods and all were lovely. The owners are friendly and kind, based at the end of the track so on hand if you had a problem, but lots of privacy provided. They even bought their pony to meet the guests which the kids loved.

United KingdomMaybe could just think about providing some sort of camp kettle or pan with the bbq hire to make a morning cuppa. Also, we had been banking on being able to buy breakfast items and therefore hadn’t catered for this. Unfortunately unavailable for our stay, so maybe double check as you arrive (by the time we knew this we’d had a beer and unable to drive out that evening). Neither thing an issue just worth knowing in advance. We had a beautiful breakfast out in Battle instead.
Bell tents were brilliant, comfy beds and we slept well. The surroundings are beautiful and really feel you’re in the middle of no where! Handy for days out to Hastings and Battle. Toilets and shower facilities great. Toilets kept very clean.

United KingdomNothing we didn’t like about our stay.
We had a great stay, local to the town, but far enough away it was quite and tranquil. A lovely get away. Lovely couple that run the business, would definitely recommend and would stay again.

United KingdomThe metal bed was a bit on a squeaky side, when sharing with an extremely tall partner we found it squeaked when he moved around.
Really friendly people running it all. Phillipa and the guy (sorry forgot his name) were extremely lovely, hospitable and really made an effort to make you feel at home.

United KingdomThe car parking area was a bit of a walk from the tents, although we were given a wheelbarrow to help with luggage. My children and I slept well, but unfortunately my husband didn’t, due to there only being one pillow, so I’d recommended taking your own too (as I did.)
The bell tents were super cosy & clean, loved that the beds for my small children were on the ground, so much space to explore and for them to run and play including the woods surrounding, and we had a fire in the evening which was lovely. The owner was very friendly, she greeted us and showed us to our tent, explained the facilities - shower/toilet/washing up area - and brought us breakfast in the morning. There are Fire pits, logs and bbq’s to rent for a small cost, and although I forgot skewers for roasting marshmallows, the owners greeted us graciously provided us with some, which was appreciated.

United KingdomStayed here for a couple of nights recently while visiting a friend in the town of Battle. What a wonderful experience it was. The site is on the edge of and a short walk from the town, so it feels a lot more private and out on it's own. Lovel location with a big forest right next to it. I was made to feel very welcome by the couple running the site and I highly recommend the breakfast served up in one of the fields! All in all a great experience.
