Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomUpstairs was very noisy. Particularly the first guests who were running and jumping at all hours waking us up. 2nd guests were respectful so could just hear general noise of them walking around. Didn’t have any additional bin bags, washing up sponges or cloths which we had to go out and buy.
Location was absolutely perfect, everything was very clean and we had an absolutely great time.

United KingdomHelen was very helpful and made us feel very welcomed. On the first day the village had a power cut that affected the fridge/freezer and the internet facilities however, Helen was really helpful and sorted out a new fridge freezer which arrived in the next day. She came by herself to make sure that everything was going as planned. She also spent a few hours over the phone to the internet company to get this sorted ASAP. Very pleased with Helen's hospitality, the nice location which is a few steps from the sea, the harbour and in the heart of Port Isaac! Definitely recommend and worth a visit again.

United KingdomNothing!
We had a lovely stay here. The house was comfortable, clean and in such a good location. Just a one minute walk to the coast path and only a few minutes to the harbour. Being able to see the sea from some of the windows was a real bonus too. The owners had made an effort with the furnishings/ pictures/ ornaments etc which added to the homely feel and my daughter and husband enjoyed doing the Port Isaac jigsaw. The double bed was so comfortable! The shower was really powerful. There was a little Coop round the corner which was really useful.

AustraliaFantastic location with just a five minute walk into the main village of Port Isaac. It is extremely important to have somewhere to park a car and this accommodation gives you that convenience. This is a apartment so you get two separate bedrooms. It is clean and very Comfortable.

United KingdomWe could hear the moving around of the occupants of the holiday apartment above but it was a minor thing. Maybe they were heavy footed.
Excellent location with lovely sea views and a short walk to the village centre. Local co-op a short walk away. Clear instructions from the host who responded promptly to messages and also sent some lovely messages wishing us a comfortable stay. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen was well equipped and overall it was a very comfortable place to stay. Thank you for the biscuits!

United KingdomThis is a great ground floor apartment, (there is another apartment upstairs) with private parking right outside. Extremely well equipped, very clean, with lovely homely touches, such as the artwork and accessories. Very warm and cosy (we didn't need the heaters on for our Oct/Nov visit). Lots of windows, with sea views from some. Blackout blinds in the rear twin room, but only curtains in the front double room. Very quiet during the night, no noise at all to disturb! Situated at the top of the village, easy (but steep) walk down to the harbour. If you prefer a level walk back, rather than tackling the hill, use the path to the town car park, which will meander you back to the apartment, without the hill! Plenty of places to eat, from takeaway fish and chips, to Michelin star restaurants. The apartment kitchen is well equipped for self catering, with a fridge freezer, dishwasher, oven, hob and microwave, plus all the utensils you might need! Thank you, Helen, a lovely property; we really enjoyed our visit.
