I needed a chair on the rooms, which the land lady kindly provided for me later in the day. A small table would be useful as we eat breakfast in the rooms, rather than out.

Given that the rooms are at the back of the pub on the first floor, it was quite quiet, the white painted walls and set of windows making the unit fresh and bright. The location - right in the centre of Broadstairs- helps in getting to and the from the beach, and accessing the cafes, shops and restaurants.

Being on the high street, the external noise was more than I expected on a couple of nights.

Lovely room in a guest house in historical building in the city center, very close to the sea and markets, restaurants, pubs, also cca 8 min to railway station. Soft carpets, nice and sipmle room equipment; we appreciated the kettle in the room, coffe/tea/snacks. Nice stuff. Windows of our - family room (which consideres of two separate rooms) were not turned into the street, so we haven' t problem with noise. The rooms are situated upstairs with no lift - it was no problem for us, but this needs to be taken into consideration. Wifi was ok. Very good value for money.

All was great for our needs but we were on the first floor so the music in the bar downstairs could be an issue if you are there for a quiet break.

Family room was perfect for 3 of us with 2 bedrooms, a bathroom and separate toilet. We had plenty of space and loved that the building was old with a bit of character. It’s basic but spotlessly clean with comfortable beds and toiletries supplied. Fridge was handy with tea/coffee and water supplied. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Location in the town centre and near the beach was perfect. We just hopped one stop on the train to our concert in Margate that evening.

Everything perfectly fine.

Polite and sufficient info and welcome given on arrival, this place is in an ideal location for seeing Broadstairs. Room was a lovely size with an en-suite bathroom. Bed comfy and good size, whilst sheeting was spotlessly clean. Was a little musky at first on entering the room but thats because this is a very old building, and soon disappeared. All tea/coffee making in room, with hair dryer, fan, tv and plenty of storage. Christine was lovely and helpful. Our room was no.1 at the front above high st. We would definately stay here again. Was gonna book Premier Inn Margate, but taxis would have cost more than the little extra i paid for the Crown. Bit noisy late at night, but just close windows, no big deal, just people enjoying themselves. Christine would have cooked breakfast if i asked, but to be fair, a lovely cafe just next door, no problem. All in all we had a lovely stay.

With just a little TLC the hotel would benefit from the overall comfort of their guests. Silly things like no coat hooks in the rooms for hanging wet towels or wet coats

Staff are fabulous- really helpful. Beds are super comfortable - location right in the centre of Broadstairs - long stay car park 5 min walk away. We really enjoyed our night away.

The room was lovely and cosy and the lady who runs everything was extremely welcoming. The shared bathroom could do with some attention as the shower enclosure didn’t marry up so the water leaked out onto the floor
