The downstairs tv wasn’t working but contacted the vendor and he offered us a free night the next time we booked for our inconvenience as there was an electrical issue with the tv and was waiting on the electrician

Every thing needed for a weekend away with the dogs , fully equipped kitchen , comfy bed , welcome basket was a lovely touch and towels provided plus if you forget to take anything Lidl is a 7 min drive down the road

There was nothing not to like

It was a lovely and peaceful location but right in the middle of all the activities. The host was so kind. The garden was a great addition for our dog. The single track lane to the cottage was only short, so previous comments about this are not to be concerned about.

This is in a fantastic setting, every thing you need. Even has its own washing room & for the dogs. The White House pub up the road, well the food was amazing. Loved all of it. Will come back 10 out of 10👌🏼

There wasn’t anything we didn’t like.

Wren Cottage is perfectly placed to explore the Forest of Dean and the Wye Valley. Unfortunately, due to an older dog with health issues, we were unable to take advantage of the many local walks. The cottage itself is beautifully renovated with everything you need for a comfortable stay. It is very dog friendly. The welcome treats are a lovely touch and well thought through. The White Horse in Staunton is a short drive away for very good food. We will definitely be returning to explore the area more.

I was travelling with my dogs so the enclosed garden was wonderful. There were nice walks starting right near the cottage. Everything was clean and comfortable and there was a nice welcome hamper when I arrived.

The smell from the Cess pit in front garden is more obvious when it rained.

Lane to property was in bad condition. Lots of potholes. Very narrow and if a car was coming in opposite direction, not possible to pass.

Cottage was of a high standard. Couldn't have asked for more. Exceptional bedroom with bath. Welcome pack was a kind thought. Parking at property. Enclosed property so safe for our dog.

Nothing that I didn't like, it's perfect place to disconnect as the house is in a quiet area but we'll connected.

Location, easy to get to any place either for hiking or for leisure. Welcome presents a basket with local products, lovely cheese. House has space and everything needed for a long stay. Bed is a dream, super comfortable. Temperature was great, didn't have cold, super comfortable. Bath really good after a long hike Really everything was good.

We had a lovely stay in this beautiful little cottage. It was perfect for what we were looking for as we were in the area for a Wedding. Spacious, a lovely welcome basket of treats, a comfortable bed and lovely and quiet. A fantastic find!

There was nobody to let us into the property when we’ve arrived - we had to get in ourselves as it was getting dark and in the middle of nowhere, it turned out the cottage was not locked. No instructions were provided. There was a black mould on the bathroom sticky mat which I had to remove from the property. Rubbish bin wasn’t emptied from the previous guests.

The garden had not been attended, long grass. Patio had not been jet washed in a while and patio furnture aging. Lovely main room downstairs. Steep stairs and 'Dog Gate' to negotiate. toilet upstairs
