The mattress is very soft. I received a message from host about check out on our first morning, which felt odd and out of place, little unwelcoming note. We just slept, and the list was about detailed checked out. I think it should be delayed to check out date or removed.

We really enjoyed our visit. Great place to stay with beautiful views and great walks and eateries. Private but close to several great places to visit. We had booked a long weekend for a relaxing break and would of happily stayed longer if our busy lives had allowed. Lovely hosts that were there if needed but left us to enjoy our time.

The only thing is that the vinyl flooring and some of the paint work could do with a bit of repairing. This did not hinder the enjoyment of our stay though.

The location was fantastic and the stay was so relaxed and comfortable. We were greeted on arrival with a little info as well as suggestions for places to get dinner, buses into Bath and public footpath walks in the area. The property was clean and the sofa and bed were very comfortable. The small bathroom did steam up quite quickly but a small price to pay for a lovely warm shower over bath. The whole place was very warm when we first entered but it was easy to adjust the thermostat and hooking the front door open meant a lovely breeze cooled the place down quickly. The table and chairs outside were a great bonus considering the amazing weather we had during our stay. We didn't use the dishwasher or oven and we'd brought our own coffee but we thought that had we stayed longer it was a great addition to the place.

Really great place and indeed an amazing view from the porch! Really close to Box, so you can go there to have breakfast in 10 min. A short drive from Corsham, where I had dinner. There's also a nice 1h walk that starts from the cabin. It was really nice of the host to send a What3Words for the entrance, as it's difficult to find on Google Maps.

I will say the heating is loud - it woke me up during the night once or twice, but I am a very light sleeper.

I absolutely loved my stay here - it was quiet, relaxing and just beautiful. I would highly recommend for anyone looking to get away for some peace and quiet.

Nothing, it was the perfect getaway

The location was perfect for Bath and Cotswolds hotspots. Feels very secluded and has beautiful views to look out on. The neighbours were very friendly.

Lovely little place to stay, everything there that you need, very peaceful with brilliant views. A short wander to the village/shop/pub etc and nice footpaths for a walk. We used the bus to get to Bath which was very easy.

The cleaning service before my arrival wasn´t up to their usually good standard. But thanks to Dan that was solved within short time.

It really IS a lovely cottage with stunning views! Beautiful quiet landscape, very kind and helpful hosts Dan and Vicky, lovely neighbours, many wonderful walking paths around... The cottage provides all you need for a short or long stay (in my case 2 weeks). It´s located just outside Box on the left driving to Corsham. The parking space is right beside it. There is a small shop in Box and a supermarket in Corsham (10 min by car). There are quite a lot maps and leaflets from the tourist information for walkings tours and interesting places to visit by car. I particularly loved Corsham (village, Corsham Court, peacocks :) ), Bath, Lacock and Avebury (stone circle larger than Stonehenge - and for free).

Could do with a bit of styling up, and could do with a new bed and a new sofa.

We had a great stay at this hut, the view is truly fantastic, immersed in the green and hills. The hut (not a cottage) is warm, comfy and kitchen and bathroom facilities were very good. Box is a lovely town and the view is truly the best part of this hut.

Beautiful, peaceful little cottage tucked away with a lovely walking path just a bit behind the cottage. The view is indeed stunning on into the distance and very private. Very clean and very comfortable. Architecture in the area is beautiful and people were very friendly.

Very spacious, and comfortable for a couple’s retreat. Accessible for travel to Bath and local villages, as well as to Cheddar Gorge and surrounding areas.

We just had a wonderful stay in Box. Great location, peaceful, easy check in and out, comfortable and clean. The accommodation was tastefully decorated, comfortable and cosy. Very well appointed accommodation with everything you need to make your stay comfortable. The washing machine was a bonus.
