Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomNothing not to like.
Beautifully decorated, clean and comfortable 2 double bed appartment with everything you would need plus extra little touches. Especially appreciated the ice maker for my birthday gnts and Baileys. Shower was amazing with thick bath towels and toiletries provided. Close to the centre, just a short stroll to quays and all attractions. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to stop in the centre of Gloucester.

United KingdomHad to park on the opposite side of the square as all parking spaces in front were full during our stay. Bathroom could do with a re grout/ silicone- lot of visible mould.
Stunning property, everything had been thought of and it was so close to the city. Loved the decor and its amazing what they have done with the space.

United KingdomIt would have been great to have the option of two single beds, rather than assuming two couples would attend. The sofa bed matress was thin and could do with a mattress topper. Finally a washing machine with dryer would be favoured, rather than what was supplied, a dish washer. There are also additional charges for some of the facilities - parking (which is understandable, due to the location), slippers. It also mentioned a welcome pack - but was nowhere to be found.
The location of the property was perfect for parking and fantastic for not needing to use your car again until departure. The property was clean, quiet and comfortable and within a five minute walk to the centre of town. The photographs were accurate and a true likeness, just a very wide lens to make it look more spacious than it actually is (a little tight at the dining table, for four tall adults).

United KingdomThe property has exceptional facilities - although these were more than we needed, everything was available to ensure a comfortable stay. Excellent communication with the owner beforehand to ensure we had nothing to worry about. We were touring Cotswold as a family and based ourselves in Gloucester which allowed for an easier commute to all areas

United Kingdomwe would advise the slightly longer route via Norfolk Street to get to the very pleasant Gloucester Quays area rather than the ally at the end of Albion Street as we encountered a few unsavoury individuals (alcohol and drugs) there one evening.
Exceptionally clean and well appointed, host communication was excellent and helpful, it's a really lovely apartment.

United KingdomNothing really. Just the main door is so heavy and you have to turn the small lock handle to open it, which is a little tricky to do whilst carrying bags in and out. Great otherwise
Modern throughout, comfortable with a strong attention to details. Comfy beds and perfect location for visiting the city of Gloucester. Easy check in.

United KingdomIt is really hard to find something I didn't like about the property so I feel really picky as we really enjoyed staying here and the overall stay completely overshadowed the observations and very minor points listed here. There was a smell on the lower ground where the bathroom was - I assume this is due to the bathroom being downstairs and it being hard to air -There were no kitchen scissors. As I said very minor points which at no point made our stay any less enjoyable.
Lovely lovely property and so easy to check in and out. Lovely design and decoration throughout - communications from Shea the owner was fab and so helpful and informative . I had no worries or concerns about anything when there. Everything was so thought out and I felt like I had just moved to my holiday home for a few days. At every point you could tell the host had thought about what a guest may need and had addressed it. There was washing up liquid, hand wash as well as shampoo and shower gel. A hairdryer in each bedroom with good power. A bottle of water provided in each bedroom another nice touch. The shower is amazing - great pressure. There was a welcome pack from the guest (2 packs of biscuits and a couple of chocolates), which was a lovely touch. An information leaflet in each room with a little bit about the history of the property. There is a sofa bed in the front room, which we didn't use but helpful to know. The property is central but in a quiet area - it is a 5 min walk to town or the quay. There is parking out front and you can rearrange parking permits with the host when booking. The property was immaculate and comfy will definitely use again - thank you Shea for a lovely and enjoyable stay
