The living room furniture is very basic. The settee was very hard and uncomfortable.

The location was very good. Close to the village centre. Bedrooms were very comfortable.

Initially WiFi wasn't working but the host was helpful in instructing us as to how to rectify the situation

The facilities at Bluebirds Cottage were ideal and the location with on site parking in a busy place like Bourton on the Water was great. (10 minute walk in to town).

The main issues: The £75 charge requested the day before travelling for bringing our dog (on top of the previous £25 additional cleaning charge requested straight after making the booking.) After these costs, it was £500 for 2 nights which wasn't what I had originally signed up to. It would also have been nice to have some milk on arrival and any indication of a personal touch. We had to find the nearest shop before unpacking to have a much needed cup of tea! Minor annoyances: We had problems with the TV initially but somehow it started working... The router for the Internet was buried under cleaning products in the cupboard under the stairs which we had to ring the emergency number to get the code for. The door keypad was also very sensitive and difficult to see in the dark, so I thought I had got locked out after too many failed attempts. The tap on the bath didn't work properly and I wasn't sure the plug did either so had to have a shower. There was only one very thin tea towel available. There just seemed to be a lack of a personal touch.... Almost as if the only person who sees the accommodation is the cleaner.

The proximity to Bourton on the Water and lots of other attractions (and a superb Co-op and gym around the corner.) The cleanliness of the accommodation. The parking. The dog-friendliness of the accommodation-the enclosed garden was great. The bed was very comfortable. The friendliness of the customer communication/care whilst at the accommodation (although there wasn't much that could be done to help). The facilities in the accommodation (cooking equipment, washing machine etc). It was very well-equipped.

Whilst the property was clean and airy, the tv only had bbc1 so if you wanted to watch tv had to sign into apps. The sofa was also very uncomfortable and hard, if the owners invested in a cosier/softer sofa it would have been much more comfortable. I have a bad back and coccyx so I had to sit on a pillow and blanket to try and make the seating less painful. Shame because the bed was very comfy but I couldn’t watch tv from there.

The property was clean and a good distance from burton on the water. It only took 5-10 minutes to walk in the centre so location was good.

The living room was small, but worked well

Easy parking, clean and discretely decorated for Christmas (bonus!) and the location was walking distance to the popular and rather busy centre of Bourton. Closed garden was perfect for the dogs. Quiet location, nice neighbourhood for short walks

Nowhere to hang or store clothes in the small bedroom. Ideally needs drawers for clothes in both bedrooms. I would have liked to have hoovered before I left the house as we had stayed there for five days

A clean and tidy house, only a ten minute into the centre of Bourton on the Water

We had problems with the hot water with the shower and bath, Also there was no hoover or broom only a dust pan and brush, the grass in the garden had been cut but we had a lot of rain so when our dog went in the garden she brought in cut grass and wet paws and I had to clean the floor with only the dust pan and brush and cloths I brought

The Property was in a great location, the house was very clean and had off road parking and enclosed back garden.

Perfect accommodation for a short stay in Bourton on the water.
    • Leisure trip

Two fans were provided for the bedrooms. It would have been useful to have a third as we were utilising the sofa bed downstairs for our second child. As it was downstairs - we couldn't leave a window open just for safety. Luckily we brought a fan with us though. I do realise we visited during a freak heatwave so this wouldn't be an issue for most people, and it didn't impact on our satisfaction with the accommodation.

Loved the location - just a flat 12 min walk into the centre of the village. The house was exceptionally clean. I'm not sure if it had been recently renovated but the standard of the decor and cleanliness was very high. Clear instructions to gain entry, and a very well appointed home. I loved that things like cooking oil, salt & pepper, herbs & spices, tea & coffee, and some toiletries were provided. This all meant that we felt very welcome. would happily recommend this property to others.

I wish I had a bit more directions to find the flat. We did get a bit lost in the streets nearby. Re-reading directions a few times we finally got it but maybe it woudl be good to have some signs outside.

The location was excellent. Very quiet area while just an easy 10 minute walk from centre. The apt was so nice and clean. Well equipped too.

Had a wonderful, relaxed and peaceful stay at the Bluebirds Cottage. Cottage was absolutely perfect for us as a family- so well equipped, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Great base to explore the lovely village & surrounding areas too. Would highly recommend it as a base for touring the beautiful Cotswold.
