Paying for parking seems very mean considering you’re paying to stay at the hotel already - this put a slight dampener on the stay. Guests should not have to pay to park. Although the outdoor pool was fantastic it was too warm and felt more like a hot tub - kids loved it but for adults it may be too warm and not refreshing on a hot summers day.

The location is stunning, the sea views when we first approached had the wow factor and are spectacular. The lobby and bar area are beautifully designed and well kept. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The family room was perfect for us with plenty of space and nice facilities decor. Outdoor pool for kids was great, total holiday vibes.

Swimming pool had a dirty rim so we decided not to use it. Parts of the hotel look like they need painting / some care and attention which is surprising for a Marriot and for £300 paid for one night. Bar area was nice but again could do with some attention to worn carpet etc / wear and tear. No bath in the room which was disappointing for the price. The shower however was very well designed.

Lovely bedroom facing the sea and the team kindly gave us some fudge for our anniversary celebration and some chocolate strawberries. Comfortable medium sized room. Lovely breakfast with plenty of choice. Close walk down to the beach and pier. Probably the best located hotel in Bournemouth. Beautiful smelling 'This Works' products in the bathroom.

I can’t think of something in particular that I didn’t like , maybe apart from the exit in the car park , as it was convoluted and had no exit sign .

The location , the cleanliness , kind and friendly staff made the stay at Marriott Highcliff in Bournemouth a pleasant stay for all family

Chaos at breakfast, limited choices of food and displayed in a very small area. Also sitting area can’t cope with a high number of rot guests

It was extremely busy, staff seemed to be under a lot of pressure. Said we couldn't eat breakfast outside even though there were loads of tables (we went outside, wasn't an issue). There wasn't any parking for a short period of time and the hotelier got annoyed at us for getting out of our car in a non-parking spot to figure out where we could park.

Room was very tiny, with limited room for luggage. The bar only had staff on one side (the non-window side), so you had to walk around to the other side if you wanted to order anything. The shower was mediocre, and with the way the barrier worked, it sprayed onto the floor
