Gorgeous campsite in an orchard with good facilities. Very friendly and helpful hosts with great beaver spotting tips! Our bell tent was beautifully furnished, very comfy bed. A short walk to the local pub and surrounded by beautiful countryside, we loved it here!

The surroundings are beautiful and peaceful. Howard was very helpful and knowledgeable about the area. Our bell tent was very comfortable and the field kitchen well equipped . The shower was wonderful. The farm was not far from Sidmouth and other beautiful places to visit. Would love to stay again.

Very much enjoyed our stay at Bowhayes Farm. Howard and Fiona were great hosts, helpful, friendly and welcoming. Our Bell Tent was set in a beautiful peaceful orchard and provided everything we needed for a very comfortable overnight stay. Fire pit and logs. Comfortable bed, freshly made bed with warm duvet and bedding and extra cosy blankets if needed. Fab light and chairs for use inside the tent. Outside seating. Great location. Excellent facilities. Received helpful information on booking/ before arrival ie. to bring a torch, towels and sensible footwear! Lovely breakfast of fresh croissant and great coffee.

Loved everything about this place. We had a bell tent , loved the horse trailer toilet and shower, the outside kitchen was also quirky which we loved. lovely setting, lovely welcome, lovely family, nothing to fault at all, we ordered the breakfast which was served with a lovely fresh coffee. The owner Howard was super friendly and so helpful. The property is peaceful and immaculate as well as having everything you could want. The bed was wonderful, best nights sleep we’ve had in ages. Perfect location- the bell tents were beautiful, super comfortable beds and so peaceful. The shower and toilet facilities were perfect and the kitchen, a real bonus. Breakfast - delicious home made bread, delicious coffee and pastries. The hosts were very friendly and went out of their way to ensure we had a great stay.

I loved absolutely everything about this quirky and unique place. The location was stunning and the bell tent was wonderful with homely touches. The kitchen and luxurious bathroom are pure genius and were equipped with everything I needed. The owners were warm and welcoming and along with a delicious breakfast, this made for a perfect stay. It was just right.

Glamping tent in an orchard. Very comfortable with a beautiful peaceful setting. Facilities are simple but that is part of the fun. Clean bathroom with a warm shower. Self catering facilities. A breakfast bar with coffee, toast & croissants on request. Proprietors friendly and helpful.

The only thing I would pick out would be maybe some lights when returning back a bit later on after sunset if you’re returning from an event. Another thing I noticed (and this is no way Bowheyes fault, just adding on for future bookers) if you have an event on in or around Exeter all local taxi companies was fully booked, I’m used to heavily relying on Ubers/bolts (which I did google if they operate in this area) and we didn’t manage to get one. Pre book your taxis in advance if you’re travelling down to Exeter, again would just like to state this isn’t a point off towards Bowheyes, as Howard was more than helpful with sending us local taxi numbers/public transport routes!

Absolutely stunning location, camping in the middle of an orchard was perfect. The bell tents were really cute inside and out, super clean and may I add the bed was so comfy, the sheets were so soft! Howard went above and beyond for us during our stay. The horsebox/bathroom conversation was brilliant, oh and the cider was bloody lovely!!! The fruity one was to die for. We will be returning to get the ultimate experience when we don’t have to attend an event that evening. Thank you again Howard, you really are a great host!

Nothing was to dislike for me.

I liked everything, Howard and his wife Fiona are incredible hosts and company. Nothing was ever too much trouble for them, and they always went above and beyond. Breakfast was amazing, thank you. Pippin was very comfortable and clean. And had everything I needed. Will come back for a winter stay so I can use the wood stove. The toilets and shower room are very clean and accessible if you happen to remember the code, unlike me. 😁 and lots of hot water. The grounds are gorgeous, surrounded by beautiful cider apple trees. It was a very tranquil and peaceful getaway. Thanks to the wonderful hosts. Venn ottery is beautiful, lovely walks, and a short drive will get you where you need to be. Try the venison burgers on the bbq. They are amazing. Also have beautiful trees for sale, My favourite is the Cercis Merlot redbud tree 🌳 Definitely will be back!

Everything was absolutely perfect.

If you are looking for a very unique experience, one with nature and just tranquility, this is the place to be! With complete amenities from kitchen, shower and toilet, outdoor fire and grill, comfortable bed and lovely breakfast, not to mention Howard, the hands-on owner took care of us, was very kind, made us feel welcome and made a lovely breakfast. I would 100% recommend this place.

There was nothing we didn’t like only thing that I would say is comfier seating outside would have been nice or cushions on the bench or chairs.

Amazing place, so tranquil and beautiful, it had everything you needed. The tent and facilities were very clean and fresh and the hosts were really kind, recommending places to go and went out of their way assisting us with our car troubles, not sure we would have got home without their help! There are lots of walks nearby and plenty of wildlife to see which was our favourite part. Could not recommend this place more and hope to come back soon.
