They had a fan in the room! As a spoiled American, I need that air flow, so that was super dope!

Staff were amazing. Convenience to bus into the city Breakfast was ok.

Room a bit small. Shower heads didnt really work properly. The seal was broken on shower door.

Most staff were very friendly and understood the request but…not the manager!

The Hotel did confirm a request for a change of room from family to 2 double rooms (like the second day), which at the time of request would have been free of charge. Then they made us pay an extra room, blaming the platform! Although I tried to properly explain, they made us pay 50 % more!

Not keen on the music in reception - too loud and not appropriate. Also surprised there wasn't a lift.

Lovely hotel, great location, friendly ,helpful staff. Room was clean and warm. Had a great stay for the ACDC Concert.

It is well situated and has good views.

The hotel looks stunning from the outside, unfortunately we ended up staying in the outside section and it is in bad need of a makeover. The WiFi as advertised in this section is non existent. The pricing was exorbitant for what one actually got.

The location was ideal for what I wanted to do. The staff were friendly and helpful. I was entirely happy with the meals and restaurant service.

The weather was extremely hot and the hotel is not equipped with air conditioning. Although a portable fan was kindly provided by the staff, it still made for an uncomfortable couple of nights.

Easy to let the car while exploring Edinburgh during the day. Very close bus stop to go downtown.

We did not like anything in this hotel.

This is a really terrible hotel. Everything is wrong here. Old, smelly, dirty and at the end of its life. I have never seen a hotel with a hole in the ceiling in the corridor leading to my room, nor a hotel where in the summer the heating in the reception and lobby has to be on because for some reason it cannot be turned off. The breakfast is also bad, no ham or the last remaining slice of ham, no cheese or the last dried up slice. The staff were friendly but strangely relaxed, as if they were not managed properly and as if they knew that the hotel was useless anyway.

Nice old hotel. Great location. Public transport into city really good. Great room with view . Nice bed. Good bathroom. Nice hot bath!
