Clean spacious friendly staff fantastic views great breakfast

Breakfast was slightly regimental and difficult to deviate from fixed menu items despite same ingredients. For example, a bacon and egg sandwich, when a full a cooked brekkie is on offer. We asked for a bacon and egg sandwich and were told we could be given a 2 slices of bacon, an egg, two slices of unbuttered bread and construct it ourselves. Funny and we have continued to joke about this since.

Location was good for Keswick. Very clean and tidy. Bed sheets smelled amazing! Seems odd to say that, but they smelled so clean and fresh- stand out from other places we’ve stayed in.

The shower was tiny in the room! Also wardrobe very small, no way to hang a dress in it as it was only half size in length.

I'd have liked granola as a breakfast option. And only a shower, no bath. I like a bath when I stay away as I don't have one!

Could have done with some wall hook for coats and potentially some horizontal slats on the picture window so that people walking past can't see in to the room (although admittedly that would block some of the view out) :-)

Superb location and excellent view of Catbells. Massive bed. Great breakfast and incredibly efficient and polite staff. Parking was a dream.

The only thing I would change would be the size of the sink in the shower room which wasn’t really functional. It wouldn’t put me off staying there again though

The breakfast was lovely and plentiful. The location was excellent, overlooking the park and very near the town centre with all its shops, restaurants and cafe. Extremely good value for money, supper accommodation

Excellent location. Brundholme exceeded our expectations. Beautifully presented very clean and a distinctly homely feel. The breakfast was superb and all served to the table by very diligent staff.

The bathroom was a bit small and the electric towel rail wasn't working. The basin was too tiny to be practical for cleaning teeth / filling the kettle. We bought some bleach to treat black mould around the basin. It would be nice to have a full length mirror in the room or on the landing.

Lovely clean room with a fabulous view of the hills and lake. See photo from our window. Huge bed which was very comfortable. Staff friendly and helpful. Great breakfasts at the hotel next door. It was nice to use the lounge downstairs. Location was perfect for our needs. We'll come again

The Brundholme was great. We had a very comfortable room at the top of the stairs with an awesome view of the park and hills. Easy 3 min walk into town but we felt like we were in the middle of the countryside. The owners are lovely and super helpful with local recommendations. Just be aware that check in is at the Crow B&B next door, there is no reception or lobby at the Brundholme. (And Keswick is a great town!)

There wasn’t anything that we didn’t like but felt that the room needed a picture on the wall to add a little character to the place. Also needs a mirror in the bedroom for hair drying. Impossibly to see what you’re doing in a minute travel mirror hung from the bedside lampshade!

Very good location handy for the park the lake and the shops. The views all around are great. Very clean and the staff were all very friendly, attentive and nothing was any trouble. Excellent breakfast next door in the Crow Park hotel and really good to have parking behind the hotel.

The shower in our room lacked pressure and made our morning routine unenjoyable. In all fairness, we didn’t raise this during our stay and simply put it down to having a room on the top (3rd) floor of the building and there being little that could be done about it. It is a shame as it takes the edge of an otherwise gorgeous and spacious room.

The hotel is in a fantastic location, with easy access to Keswick Town, the lake and the beautiful park. The staff are brilliant, friendly and the service is excellent.
