The outside areas were very dirty and poorly maintained. We couldn't really use the gardens or the outside pool. Members of staff were bringing in their friends to use the pools.

Nice large room. Quiet. Small balcony a bonus. Indoor pool lovely. Breakfast was good.

The floor creaked terribly and engendered you lent on the headboard it creaked. Although we had a comfortable sleep we were woken up at 5.20 am by some one slamming car doors in the carpark repeatedly.

The indoor and outdoor pool were lovely. The staff were friendly. I booked a double room with a single bed but when we arrived it was a whole floor to ourselves with two bedrooms and a bathroom and lovely views. The breakfast was nice.

Lack of staff at times, mainly in the evenings. Waiting for bar service on a few occasions.

The location was beautiful. Upgraded to a sea view room. Good choice of breakfast every morning. Swimming pools, pool table and darts was a bonus.

This was a really lovely hotel and great value for money. Amazing views from the hotel looking out to sea. Lovely garden to sit in and drink morning coffee or evening drinks. Didn't use either of the pools but they looked great. All the hotel staff were super friendly, helpful and cheerful. Also provided storage for our bikes. Really enjoyed our 2 night stay.

I wouldn’t say there was anything we didn’t like. It was great value for money.

Lovely location. Plenty of parking. Breakfast was lovely although more fruit would be nice. Room was extremely large. The hotel was maybe slightly dated but was excellent value for money and would stay there again. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly.

We politely asked to change hash browns and bacon to two extra eggs (one egg for hash brown and one for bacon). Unfortunately kitchen exchanged only one egg and we lost or hash brown or bacon (as we got one egg instead of hash brown and bacon). The idea was to change one item against one item. But breakfast was nice, typical English breakfast.

Was nice and clean place. A bit old building so a bit creepy floor sound when walking. Location is very good. Unfortunately we didn’t got time to use pool or sauna. We waited to see someone in reception for about 15 minutes as nobody was in reception at our arrival. But when the lady came, she was nice and polite person. Parking possible in front of hotel (first came first serve basis). Overall satisfied.

Nice hotel in a great location, 10 minutes walk to Shanklin old village and 15 minutes walk to the beach. Breakfast was really tasty in the morning. We stayed for a 30th birthday celebration and the hotel staff offered some optional extras to make our stay more memorable which was a really nice touch.

I would have liked some hot chocolate sachets with the tea and coffee in room but otherwise good . Not sure if there was a comfortable lounge other side of bar.

Excellent breakfast in the dining room which has fantastic views of the sea, lovely walk down to Chine and seafront even if a bit of a climb back on the steep path.

Could do with a few maintenance work (cleaning mirrors and windows, paint chipping on furniture, etc.)

everything as expected. We got a small room at the back and it was cold and had a small double bed. But after asking for another room (with twin beds), we wer give a good size room at the seaside front with twin beds and we enjoyed our stay. The staff was very friendly, accommodating and nothing was to much trouble.

Out of season the work surfaces and carpet could have been cleaner. I went to celebrate my birthday but the receptionist didn't acknowledge that at all. I had indicated that on my booking. The indoor swimming pool was not cleaned nor the flooring around it. There is no male and female changing area. There was no dinner option available in case we wanted it.

The 3 single beds in the room which was spacious.

Our room lacked plug points - there was one double plug with one of the plugs used for the tv and the other for the kettle - we had no where to charge our phones. The room was comfortable but may need updating slightly.

The staff were lovely - the bar and the food were brilliant - we were made to feel very welcome. The swimming pool and location were great.
