Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomIt would have been handy to have some washing up liquid provided as well as a tea towel but apart from that it was well equipped. Might have been nice to have some print outs/recommendations for the local restaurants/pubs/eateries and maybe a map to get your bearings, but these are very minor comments - it didn't effect our stay and we had a great time.
The location of Cwtch cabin was incredible - views were amazing. Also it is right on the mountain bike trails which is a bonus. The host was very nice. Cabin was lovely and warm on our arrival, and generally very well equipped.

United KingdomJust a couple of little things..the tap in the kitchen was really stiff. I had to use all my strength to turn it off to stop it running/dripping. There was no tin opener so bring your own! Small things compared to a great stay.
Amazing views across the hills from the balcony. Beautiful sunset which we watched also from the balcony. We could see so many stars as in the middle of nowhere. Lovely hot shower. Cycle trails right on the doorstep. We didn't use the car for 4 days. Very peaceful. The lodge was basic as we could see from the photos, but I really liked it and we were very comfortable.

United KingdomThe lodge wasn't clean or hygienic. The floor hadn't been mopped, the shower tiles had pink bacteria and black mold, and there were breadcrumbs and grime in the kitchen cabinets. The kitchen towel was dirty, and the kitchenware and oven were not thoroughly cleaned. The beds in the main living space could use upholstery cleaning. We didn't have any cleaning products for the bathroom, and there was no mop or broom. We also didn't receive towels. I'm sure the staff would have catered to our needs, but we arrived 30 minutes before check-in ended, so no one was there by the time we discovered these issues. We ended up driving to Tesco, which was a few minutes away, to get everything we needed (cleaning supplies for the bathroom, etc.). Scrubbing the shower tiles wasn't how I imagined the start of our holiday. Although everything could be sorted within an hour, hygiene should be a baseline.
We stayed in Lodge 3, which was spacious. A huge plus was that it's pet-friendly. We had all the necessities for making quick meals in the kitchen. The sheets were clean, and we had an excellent night's sleep, beds and pillows were comfortable. There was an outdoor grill and a terrace area with benches and a table, plus a firepit next to the cabin. There was plenty of storage space both outside and inside. The bathroom was spacious. The surroundings were peaceful and tranquil, and the view was breathtaking. Bike & hiking trails, shops close by. Parking next to the cabin. Free wifi.

United KingdomBecause of when we stayed, the resturant wasn’t open both nights and the although the food was good on the night it was open, the menu choice was quite small. No problem with dietary requirements such as gluten free and vegetarian. Good pub, Colliers Arms, just down the road so not a problem on the night resturant was closed, although booking advised.
Location, cleanliness, owners and staff all really helpful. Not our first time here, and won’t be the last.

United KingdomThe only thing we won't say we didn't like but could be better is that there was only enough towel and bits for 2. But I'm sure if you asked for more, they would be able to accommodate. We had some with us anyway. And the taps. As we weren't sure whether they could be drunk from
The view and scenery were absolutely amazing. Lots of places to take the dog for a walk, take a stroll through the woods, or use the bike park, which is practically on the doorstep. The beds were comfortable, and the hosts were very friendly and welcoming. The food they served was perfect, and parking is easily accessible.

United KingdomNothing really, the main double bed mattess was a bit soft but that's preference. The bedroom was warm and cosy. Everything was great.
The scenery was incredible, and we were able to watch the sunset from the decked patio. The place had everything you needed for a self-catering catering trip. It was quiet, which was perfect for us and our dogs. You are provided with a bbq if you want to use it but there is an oven and microwave inside, a tv with a firestick and a good sized bathroom.
