Absolutely fantastic hotel. The staff were so welcoming and helpful. They were always happy and upbeat and always chatty if you stopped to talk. The location was perfect, it is a 2 minute walk to windermere and the closest bus stop from which you could pretty much get the whole of this side of the lakes. The hotel was immaculate and the food was great. We highly recommend this hotel and we will certainly be visiting again.

There were some really loud people in the spa which is meant to be relaxation so it would have been good if the staff maybe asked them to be considerate

The accommodation is not really suited for kids and youth. The bunk beds were nice, but ventilation in the bunk bed area that was sharing the living room was not possible without opening the front door. Also accommodation like bikes have limitation on age from 16y. SPA also requires youth up to 16y to be accompanied which was strange for my kids of 13,14,15.

Very friendly people and very nice location very close to the busy village center of Windermere. Also very nice breakfast.

Not equipped with extra bathroom tissues aswel as no drinks/waters bottles available in room. We tried room service and was told will be charged extra if brought up. We expected some form of refreshments there on arrival at least for the price of one night.

Breakfast Although a beautiful spread of lovely food with plenty of choice in a 5* hotel, I would expect at least the hot drinks to be served to the table. As an older couple, it is a chore , all the trips to fetch and carry what was needed spoils the relaxed atmosphere elsewhere.

Got a little uncomfortable and hot in the room at night but I guess this won’t happen all the time (it was a bit of a heatwave when we stayed)

One small downside was the lack of air conditioning or even a fan in the room. We happened to stay during an unusually hot spell, and the room did get quite warm, which made sleeping a bit uncomfortable at times. It’s a minor issue, but something to be aware of if you're visiting during the summer.

Mattress was a little bit stiff in places but everything else made up for it

Everything at this hotel is amazing, the security guy on the gate knew my name when we arrived as did the concierge, the glass of prosecco on checking in was perfect, unlimited use of the spa facility was perfect, room upgrade was amazing and the complimentary use of the Bentley when wearing heels is amazing! We had the best time, I've also stayed here before and it was the same then!
