Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThere were a few mosquitos and bugs coming in through the windows but obviously it’s near a canal so to be expected. Also, some of the rubbish around the canal was a shame but again it’s no fault of the accommodation or the owner.
The boat was clean and had everything we needed for the stay.

United KingdomAlthough we Loved the boat, it was well organised for a small space and we were really looking forward to a quirky way to stop in London. Unfortunately, and We appreciate that the boat was run on solar panels but we’re not made aware that we could not use any electricity after 7pm! This was disclosed after we had arrived. This put a dampener on our stay as We could not boil a kettle or put the tv on or charge our phones after 7pm. We also did not know when we would be able to turn them on the next day. Although we took power banks with us, we found ourselves losing time in the day to charge our phones in the local weather-spoons. On top of this, we were only made aware after we had paid that we would need to give 3 hours notice to the owner if we wanted to use the shower as the engine would need to be running. Hard to plan having a shower in the morning before going out to explore the city if you need to wait 3 hours. I would also add that the owner stays in the boat next to property so it’s not much of a commute. Needless to say we didn’t bother and roughed it for a day with cold water. Because of this, we decided to leave the property early and get a late night train home instead of stopping the second night. Lastly, We found the walk to the boat along the canal extremely dark at night so would suggest taking a torch with you.
Great location, close to Camden market and the Tube.

United KingdomThe flush didn't work on the toilet. There was half a bottle of wine left in the fridge along with some other items. Rubbish in the bin.

AustraliaIt’s a canal boat and that always means low headroom and very cosy quarters. The solar power and compact bathroom take a bit of adjusting to but TBH aside from sleeping and enjoying the deck we took full advantage of the location and the numerous eating options. The kitchenette is fully equipped but aside from a morning bacon sandwich and a cup of tea a casual visitor won’t be making much use of it.
I wanted a good central location to stay with sister and explore London. The location is brilliant - just two minutes walk from Camden Lock Market and the high street, dozens of great paces to eat and shop and say walking distance from Regent’s Park, Primrose Hill and easy access to central London Hampstead and Euston. The boat is a lovely little base, thoughtfully equipped and pretty, and the mooring is lovely. I had wondered is towpath passers-by would keep us awake but it was very peaceful - more so than staying anywhere near the high street. Sitting on the deck in the sun watching the runs pass by was a lovely way to start the day! I’d definitely come back next time I’m showing off London.
