Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe capsules should be just a bit larger, say 30 cm wider or longer, so that guests could fit their bags and shoes inside. I put my bag on the mattress and squeezed my shoes in, but many people left both messily all over the corridor. The steps could also be open-fronted to double as a shoe rack. The walls of the corridors and rooms (not the capsules) are inexplicably all painted black, which exaggerates the claustrophobic feeling of not having windows. On my floor (2) at least, all the bathroom taps were hot, even those marked blue. This was annoying for brushing my teeth and getting drinking water, as there was no water source in Reception or elsewhere. The key cards should work on the capsules and not only on the dorms, to stop people initially going into the wrong ones and everyone from having the hassle of locking them with padlocks. The lever on mine was awkward so it often took a few goes to lock it. I’m a member of the amazing Prince Charles Cinema nearby and Zedwell, as its landlord, is threatening to close it down. If it does so, I will boycott this place for sure.
I loved this experience as I have stayed in many hostels in London and it was such a nice change to have complete privacy and security. The capsules are very well designed so that each of the three levels functions comfortably, though they should be a little bigger. They have a mini air-conditioning unit and when I stayed on warm days in August it was still pleasant inside. The location is absolutely incredible. Note that it was £18 a night when I stayed so my judgment is based on that. Hostels in London frequently cost more and on the dates I booked were only a few pounds cheaper.

FranceThe common areas weren’t cleaned regularly enough, the sink at times were clogged or the soap dispenser would be empty
Location is incredible! Can’t get better than that, the pods are very well thought out so it’s convenient even though it’s a small space

United KingdomWould of liked to be able to make the air con colder not just have one temp the whole time as I was there 2 nights and was a little warm. Apart from this great! Next time I’ll take a desktop fan.
Location and price were amazing! (£36 for 2 nights) Bed was fine. Was just enough space in the capsule/pod. Had a plug, usb and type C all built in for great ease of use! Even provided with a towel to use!

United KingdomThe place was still being refurbished/made ready, so service felt haphazard and reception were a little stressed. There was building work and noise during the day. Sinks hard to stay clean. Showers could be less school-gym. More ventilation needed in Capsule, so kept the shutter open mostly...
Fun location, literally roll out of the capsule into the main theatre district area of London and Soho. Lovely atmosphere on female-only floor, whether meeting each other and chatting, or private and quiet. Friendly, hard working housekeeping staff.

United KingdomIt’s still under construction, no cold water and the stairs are not finished. If you are in a female dorm then you have the entire 1st floor, but you can hear the music banging from the souvenir shop underneath. 1 hairdryer and the ceiling vents drip while sitting on the loo, no idea where it comes from. Locks are pointless as mine was broken from someone forcing it and bending it, so with a lock on I could still get in it. You need you card to go to the loo, mine feel out my pocket down the loo! The fan is right above your head and works but is very loud, I’d suggest taking a fan while asleep as it would do a better job if it’s hot. The showers were clean but leaked and so did the toilets so take flip flops. No full length mirror and no place to for more than 3 people to do hair and make up and the shelf is t big enough to put any make up, the light and mirror is The pod is good. Take extra hooks and suction cup hooks for extra hanging room. I also did t find anywhere to store bags or cases while in your pod?

GermanyThere are no extra lockers for your stuff, if you want to lock things up while out you'll have to put them in your capsule which doesn't extend the size of the mattress. People don't want their suitcases on their bed obviously so the hallway was absolutely littered with everyone's belongings. If you DO want to look your capsule from the outside you need a padlock, if you didn't know that like me you'll have to purchase one for 5£ from check in. Check in was also very crowded, the lifts are slow so it's all very chaotic on arrival. Thankfully you can turn on AC in your capsule which keeps it from getting too hot and stuffy, you'll have to deal with the noise though. You also have a keycard but you won't need it, at least while I was there all the doors just opened anyway to anyone, which did not make it feel very safe. At least the doors from the lift to the dorms should be locked to keep out non-guests or even people from other dorms.
Does what it says on the tin. Extremely central, capsule looks as depicted and was very clean. The bathrooms are huge and kept clean, with lots of toilets and sinks and lockable shower cubicles as well. Stayed on an all-ladies floor which made it feel very safe. For a night or two you can't beat the price and location. I also liked that you can dim the light in your capsule and have a small sill/board at the head to keep things on as well as a mirror.
