United KingdomThe balcony joins another with a see through divide between. No privacy from the next room so it needs a proper screen and this will prevent seeing into the other room. NO indication that the hotel has changed hands and is now two hotels one with a different name. No advance warning of where to check in. Above all NO evening dinner unless you want eat by 6pm. This was a huge let down.
Breakfast good. Room quite big and good views and large balcony.

We had a fantastic stay at Carton Hotel on the Isle of Wight. The staff were incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, and the location was perfect—close to the beach and local attractions. Breakfast was delicious, with great options. Highly recommended for a relaxing getaway!

United KingdomAs advertised, my room was not sea facing , but few rooms were sea facing in this hotel. Bathroom shower was not working properly on the first day, but they sent someone to have a look and it was a bit better next day , but still not much pressure in the shower. Electric kettle was not clean. They changed it on request though. No fan or AC in the room.
Nice location , just next to the sea. Breakfast arrangements was good with lot of options, a kind of full English breakfast . Friendly staff. It was very hot weather during my stay, but on request , they provided one table fan.

United KingdomIt was very quiet, as only just been purchased by hotel next door, so we had to use the facilities next door for breakfast etc. this wasn’t a problem as literally joined by decking.
The Carlton Hotel is sat above the beach, from the garden there is a back gate, leading to a walkway. You can walk very easily to beach , takes about 10 minutes, can go either way along this lane, it is slightly hilly coming back up. It is in a great location for either going to beach , or into the old town there is a lift to get down to beach ( think was £1 ) though didn’t use it as the walk was good. Some good places to eat down at the beach , and also in the old town ( was about 10 to 15 minutes to walk). Great Indian, Italian we tried. We had the sea view room with balcony which was lovely to sit and watch the sea , definitely worth the extra cost.

United KingdomBathroom smelt damp and musty which made the whole room smell. The curtains were light, very thin and poorly fitted so they didn’t block any light. Room was overlooked by rooms in hotel next door so needed net curtains too. I hadn’t been told to check in at the hotel next door, and there wasn’t a note on the door, so was surprised to find no reception in the Carlton and was lucky to see another guest to ask - not a good start!

United StatesPretty much everything else. The water pressure was practically nonexistent. The shower was ridiculously small although the bathroom could easily have accommodated something larger and more comfortable. There is no air con so you have to keep windows open … between the birds, people in the car park (windows open onto it), see through curtains (sun rises early in summer) and AWFUL bed (brand new IKEA), you won’t get much sleep. Breakfast only ok. No reception at Carlton, you have to go next door. No one to assist you (our light bulbs were burned out). They are doing a reno, so expect noise.
After complaining about our deluxe double (which was actually a standard) we were upgraded to a family room.

United KingdomDuring our stay we had the worst experience with the manager salma the hotel had ongoing construction inside the hotel causing dust that give us skin irritation and noise was uncomfortable no reception in the hotel have to go to the next hotel no phone inside the room the shower window was see throw and shower water not working properly and when we discuss this to salma the manager she was so rude to us have no respect for us threatening us such as if we complain she will share our details to whoever accusing us of lying even tho we have prove of everything
