Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

We like everything.
Good location, near to sea side. Very friendly staff. Room was well decorated and very clean. Big shower. Will be back for sure.

Great location - a few minutes walk from the beach. Lovely view of the sea and landscape from the window. Clean and large bedroom and bathroom. Friendly and helpful staff. Free parking.

Room was a little tired decor wise.
Location was great. Nice big car park, no problems with parking. Comfortable beds, good water pressure on the shower and enough tea and coffee in the room.

Room clean and tidy. Good size for single room. Receptionist pleasant and helpful.. Would definately stay again. Did not use bar or breakfast facilities so cannot comment.

Bedroom carpet could of been cleaner found dead fly & dirt. Entrance to the bar smelt like wet dog, horrible smell.
We had a sea room which was unexpected so I was very happy.

Wish there was better signs that point to the entrance.
Lovely hotel with a lot to offer, espicially for entertainment, room was very spacious and in immaculate condition.

We expected a swimming pool. It's no longer in us but advertisement says it is. Main reason we booked that hotel. Advertising needs to be amended.
It was ideal for a short break. Very friendly staff..great breakfast.

Free WiFi was hit and miss. It wasn't available in my room. Some of the bedding had visible small marks which should of really been changed when seen by housekeeping.
Location is good, being a short walk down the hill to the seafront. It's approximately 15mins walk to the town centre. On a good bus route. Reception staff really helpful. Full English breakfast available every morning. Room slightly dated but clean.

The room was so hot and we even turned the radiator off
The location was absolutely perfect, close to the seafront, theatre and just a short walk from town!

Bathroom needs a bit of tender loving care...curtains hanging off rails, shower and bath needs grouting...ceiling had a few tiles missing and walls could do with a new coat of paint...and bed and pillows not up to our standard but still had a sleep with aches ...but didn't tarnish our stay....and will definitely be returning as the location of your hotel...Perfect...Thankyou.
Me and my partner was in bad way as the hotel we booked previously phoned us on the day we whilst we travelling and disappointedly told us that they had over booked us and we had no room ..so you can just imagine our thoughts absolutely disappointed and having a panic we endured as we already enroute .so Thank God for the Internet and of course came up with your hotel at this time we just something to lay our heads as we needed this break away which has been planned for months...so we were Thankful your company could accommodate us...yes for money value room and breakfast was not up to our standard...but staff were absolutely helpful snd credit to your business...The parking xnd Internet 10/10...keep up the good work.

Because it was owned by Alfa travel, the coach travel guests were treated as priority especially during meals.
A large car park so able to park in the hotel car park without any problems.

Was not aware breakfast finished at 9 so when we went down at 850 there was no one to tell us where to sit and how breakfast ordering went. Eventually someone came to us but breakfast was very limited.
