the bathroom were poorly fitted and very flimsy and weak. Not stable at all. The shower door smashed onto me and I was still held liable for the damages even though the bathroom was poorly fitted. The bedsheets do not get changed on a daily nor bins nor towels. Main wardrobes are light

The rooms were spacious. There is a kettle and cups and tea and a hair dryer in room. Very good location and stores near by and beach was within a 10 minute walk and there was a pier.

Before booking, I noticed mixed reviews, but the recent ones seemed fair so I decided to give it a try. Prior to arrival, the host was responsive, and on the morning of check-in I asked if an extra bed could be arranged for a 5th person, confirming I was happy to pay extra. She said we’d discuss it at check-in, but never shared any details. When I arrived, someone else was there to check me in, but unfortunately, she wasn’t able to communicate properly with me. She asked about the number of guests and when I explained the situation, she had to call the host. That’s when it turned unpleasant. The host, instead of having a proper conversation, just started raising her voice, saying the hotel was full, she didn’t have staff to manage this request, and in peak season an extra person would require a completely separate room. I was shocked by how dismissive and unaccommodating she sounded—I work in the hospitality industry myself (at a 4-star hotel chain), so I know how important it is to at least try to assist a guest’s request, even if the final answer is no. In the end, I told her not to worry, the 5th person would not stay. But overall, I really didn’t feel any sense of hospitality or guest care. The room itself wasn’t great either: only one plug socket, showers not working properly (took several minutes to get hot water, doors felt unstable), and the cupboard/drawers were dusty, making it unusable. I’ve also noticed the host’s replies to some other reviews where she defends these shortcomings by saying “we are a budget hotel and you shouldn’t expect more at this price.” But honestly, the issues I experienced aren’t about luxury or extras—they are just about basic standards like cleanliness and functioning amenities.

Only thing I liked was location. Its very close to the beach, hardly 5 mins walk. You can also find few nice cafes around.

Rooms were cold. I understand it is off season but I was very cold. First room I went into was damp and had to ask to be moved. Friendly staff but I won’t stay there again.

Cons- Door kept banging in your back because it was designed to stay closed. Could hurt your leg if you wear flip-flops. The shower drain took too long time to drain maybe because they refused to do a simple drain flush.This was mentioned by many travellers before. A simple request for 30 mins prior to checkin time not accepted though the customer was not feeling well Not manned all the time and no staff available for any request(God forbid required) No breakfast even though advertised.Many guests have same comments.But they did reduce 4 pounds for not giving.Dont be fooled ,THEY DO NOT OFFER BREAKFAST.ARRANGE YOUR OWN. The ventilation was bad Not enough power sockets close to the bed.

Excellent location. Very clean Pocket friendly The lady at the checkin was on the clock and behaved and fulfilled the minimum requirements of her role taking into consideration its the hospitality department. The bed was comfortable

It was almost impossible to take a shower due to the lack of water pressure. It took almost 20 mins for the toilet cistern to re-fill which would have been a problem if I had a partner with me

We booked this hotel because it did breakfast evening and had a bar, but on arrival we were told it was unavailable, and refund the money we had paid.

We were greeted by a nice lady who show us to our room, that was the best thing of our stay.

it's basic but you get what you pay for. We wanted something cheap and easy to get to. The hotel was perfect for us but I can see why some people want a 5 star hotel but only want to pay 1 star prices.

Fairly uncomfortable bed, you can feel the springs coming through. They need replacing or a foam topper at minimum. The doors to rooms slam, the overhead door closers do not work properly. We had a room next to a staff bedroom I assume. And they were very good at slamming it early in the morning.

Hardly saw anyone , felt like we were only ones staying , greeting on arrival wasn’t great although the lady who checked us out was quite polite , the shower tray didn’t empty of water seemed blocked took ages to drain after finished showering , extractor fan in bathroom was noisy , room was warm needed window open due to heat but had construction work going on across from hotel so could be quite noisy early in morning ,had heard bad reviews from others but hotel wasn’t as bad as expected , taxi driver confused this hotel with one of same name in shanklin which was more upgraded by looks of it

Room was comfortable , off road parking which was handy , plenty of extra tea , coffee , small milk pots available if required , bottle of water to use for kettle water would’ve been handy , if we’d known we would’ve brought our own

Beds where very basic uncomfortable and noisy.our wardrobe was swaying to one side, the fixtures of the shower where moving on the wall, bathroom bin was cracked and broken, the ceiling in the bathroom was damp and stained around the electric light fitting. And our electric sockets out of 4 only 1 worked. The bar never opened downstairs so nowhere to socialise. Felt a lot more like a hostel than a hotel.
