Room a bit dark, SMART TV. I would have liked to have just turned it on, not set up apps.

We absolutely loved our stay. The manor is so authentic and comfortable at the same time. It's both a holiday and an experience, the historic building has a magic to it. The views from the hill immersed in nature with deers running in the distance, the common rooms have books you actually want to read, everything was done so tastefully. The Restaurant is exceptional. I've rarely had such amazing food in the UK! The staff working at the hotel was very attentive. Interesting Cotswolds towns are a short drive away. I can't recommend it enough!!

Some decisions made re the fitting out of the rooms need to be reviewed. Beds are uncomfortably too soft resulting in poor sleep and back pain in the morning. Decision not to provide facial tissues is mind blowing. Lack of storage space and hooks in the rooms and bathroom should be addressed.

Being renovated and nice countryside location with excellent staff

I know it’s a very old building - so I don’t think you can do better. The bathroom needed the windows to be able to open. It was too toxic of fumes from renovation and moisture. Very unpleasant but understandable.

Whilst the modern, dark, room decor with ambient lighting was really beautiful and pleasing, an extra available brighter lighting option would have been helpful at times. The dining chairs were a little low to the height of the table.

Beautiful building and decor. Wonderful outdoor space and views. Lovely staff.

Lovely buildings and grounds and the location is spectacular - breakfast is worth it just for the views from the dining room. Staff were really nice too. We stayed in mid July and building works were still going on - it would’ve been nice to have been notified of that beforehand. However, it didn’t really detract from the experience (it doesn’t feel like a building site) - I’d still like to go back!

It was our 46th wedding anniversary the staff were amazing we had a lovely post card wishing us all the best. A glass of Prosecco with our meal and a lovely plate of chocolate treats with a wedding anniversary message. Slight disappointment with our meal but on the whole we enjoyed it.

Beautiful property room was amazing. A bit of ground works going on at the time of our visit but didn’t have any impact on our stay

A slightly disappointing stay at a beautiful manor
    • Leisure trip
    • Couple

We were surprised to arrive and find that there was as lot of construction going on which was unsightly, noisy, and made a mess of our car. Our first room was noisy overhead but we were given a new room the next day which was a lot quieter. The lighting in the rooms and bathrooms is also very dim! Overall it seems this place needs quite a bit of work to get it to the level it is charging e.g. the tennis court is overgrown with weeds and was used as a dumping area for construction materials.

Beautiful manor with a lovely garden outlook. Excellent breakfasts. Helpful staff. Spacious bedrooms and bathrooms with a comfortable bed.

Hotel is still being fully fitted out, so some areas unfinished.

Newly refurbished room, modern trendy fitments. Quiet location. Friendly and helpful staff. Good value for an upmarket Country House hotel, though prices will probably go up when fully open and running smoothly.

The building work does not help with the overall impression but if you look beyond this you can see what the owners are looking to achieve and it will be very good. The sound travels through the corridors quite badly.

We were disappointed the swimming pool is no longer, I think Booking.com should remove the photo of the pool as it is misleading. The property is undergoing a major refurbishment currently, however the workmen were very respectful and polite.

Exceptional position for visiting the Cotswolds.Stayed in the Manor House, room was lovely with great views, bed comfortable. Breakfast was excellent lots of choice, I loved their Turkish eggs, delicious. Staff were terrific. We ate dinner in house and tried everything during our stay between our friends,no complaints!
