Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe property description is complete "Estate Agent" fantasy. " Charming House" ??? More accurate would be "Modern one bed apartment over two floors". " With garden". Completely untrue. No greenery whatsoever. Small yard or patio. I really don't want to be negative cos overall we had a great stay but please tell the truth.
The central location of the property 75 yds from the Saturday Market was the outstanding advantage of this property which completely over shadows any negative points. The reserved parking space was also a major advantage in such a central location. The living area was rather small but perfectly adequate for a short stay.

United KingdomJust one problem we couldn’t turn on the bedroom tele , I would suggest a guide be made available as to how to use them .
The location was perfect, the little garden was secure and we could leave our bikes there safely. A secure off road parking space. The lounge was comfortable, the bedroom was spacious and comfortable. Plenty of hot water and clean towels

United KingdomLovely apartment right in the centre of Beverly. Although you hear no noise from the town. Nice little apartment with all amenities. If I did have to complain, the bed squeaked and the shower wasn’t very powerful. We would have liked normal tv. If my parents were using this apartment they wouldn’t have had a clue how to use the tv. That said these things didn’t tarnish our stay and would happily return

United KingdomDownstairs considerably colder than upstairs. Oven not easy to operate. Pillows on bed have no ‘life’ left in them.
Very clean. Easily accessible. Parking great. Perfect hideaway and very quiet even being in the centre of town

United KingdomIrs a pity that the TV doesn't use Freeview, we don't have any of the apps, and just in the property there is no dab signal for our radio
Have stayed here before - central location is ideal for us - quiet but close to everything

United KingdomCramped downstairs, but yet plenty of room in the bedroom. We had problems with the TV, so no 'entertainment' for three days. The accommodation is quite a bit shabby unfortunately which I wasn't expecting. The duvet is too small, needs to be bigger than the size of the bed.
Location was great. Parking was definitely needed.

United KingdomSome minor things could have been cleaner. Instructions for the shower and oven would be helpful (Apologies if we missed them) These are minor issues and will not stop us returning. While we were there we were already making plans for our next visit. This is the place for us, as I am disabled and cannot walk unaided. Looking forward to our next visit. 👍
Excellent prime position. Only a few steps, approx 30-40 yards to the town centre. Car parking included. All you require for a peaceful and relaxing holiday.

United KingdomIts a great place to stay but the décor is tired, the kitchen door is badly dented and the double glazing on the front patio window isn't really suitable. A curtain across the window would certainly be appreciated for keeping the warmth in.

United KingdomVery creaky bed and temperature very warm upstairs. Think this might be because the thermostat is downstairs and the draft coming from the main door ( not the patio doors used to enter) is enormous. Inevitably it's colder downstairs and very very warm upstairs.
Location is excellent for Beverley town centre.

United KingdomInstructions for TV would have been good but was sorted out by staff. A broken oven was not sorted out but was listed as needing repair after we left so again sorted.
Whilst our stay was on the whole good there were some excellent elements, location and warmth and the parking space was brilliant. There were things that could easily be improved.

AustraliaThe stairs are steep. I requested spare linen for the bed settee but it wasn’t there when we arrived, following an email and payment of 20 pounds I was told it was in the bottom of the bed settee. It was a sheet, duvet cover and 2 pillow cases, no pillows or quilt.
Location was excellent, within walking distance of everything in Beverley. Also the free parking just outside the door was really good and very convenient. Modern, clean property with all mod cons including a dishwasher and washing machine. Would definitely stay here again.

New ZealandA disaster right from the beginning! i was given the wrong code for the lockbox so had to call them, which turned out to be a call-centre of sorts not the hosts. They contacted the owner and got a new code for a second lockbox but it was horrible stood out on the street for 40 minutes trying to get in, thank goodness it wasn’t raining and thank goodness for the sweet, patient, helpful Filipino lady at the call-centre. I found the TV not to be working so again phoned the call-centre, they have a Seiki TV system which the hosts have to activate remotely! I’m not from the UK so had no idea how this worked, finally figured it out but the App options were rubbish, a message popped up saying the system will de-activate when you leave at 11am check out, however i put the TV to watch the news before i left and at 10.15am and it had already de-activated! The house in general is quite cold, especially the bedroom which was quite dusty, also the wooden window blinds don’t shut fully so you’re woken up by the light early morning!! All the wine glasses in the cupboard were quite dusty and 1 glass had dried lipstick stains around the rim! The waste bins outside have not been emptied for a while it looks like and they were lots of flies in the bin and around the small courtyard. On departure i was sent a code for the lockbox to leave the keys, but yet again the code did not work. So again i phoned the call-centre. A nice neighbour tried to help me, our fingers were sore trying the various codes we were given but none worked! A nightmare and so stressful as i had ordered a taxi and had a deadline to catch a train. In the end i had to hide the keys at the property but then sent photos and instructions of their whereabouts to the call-centre. What a waste of my time!
