Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomRoom was basic, and even with the window open was a bit hot during the night. Room 2 had a cupboard (access to a water tank) with a catch that kept opening.
Very central location and very handy for Cheers Bar

United KingdomI had no heating provided to me for 6 day and I was freezing. I have 9 health condition and being in a cold house makes these get worse. It was so bad that I had to purchase 2 heaters and put them in the room so I would be ok to shower and sleep warmer as the room was so cold at night I was shivering every night for 3 nights, after this I then bought the two heaters to stay warm. I spoke to the manager yet nothing ever got sorted and the heating remained of for the 6 days I was there. The boiler room cupboard kept opening when I was using the bathroom this really made me feel freaked out and uncomfortable. They need to put a lock on the cupboard as this is not hygienic and is really creepy.
The cleaner helped me to get an extra blanket and for this I was so greatful. The cleaner helped to remove rubbish from my room and kept my space feeling clean and welcoming. I greatful for the cleaner she woulderful and has amazing people skills. Frazbrough is a wonderful town and the people in the town are very welcoming.

United KingdomThe lack of private car parking facilities although there was ample street parking which seemed safe and secure albeit there were waiting restrictioons in some areas but I don't know how diligently they're enforced. The loud music in the bar may not be to everybody's taste although it didn't go on too late. As the room was facing the sea and the main road there was a lot of seagull activity during the night and they made quite a lot of noise (even at around 03:00!) which is obviously beyond the control of the hotel! However, in addition to this noise there was a sporadic artificial noise (sounded electronic) which kept waking me up and also with the room being near to the hotel entrance and next to the staff room there was occasional human activity which created a disturbance throughout the night (not excessive but detectable given that I was already being disturbed by those pesky seagulls!) It pains me to write the previous paragraph as the bed was really comfortable and so my night's sleep should have been more relaxing than it was but I have to give an honest account although, of course, these factors might not be seen as problematic for other, less light sleepers!
I stayed for one night in a Deluxe Double Room with Shower (Room No 1). The hotel has no private car park facilities (which I was informed of beforehand) but there are public parking spaces directly in front of the hotel ... although I found convenient street parking quite close when I first arrived and decided to leave the car there overnight. The reception is located at the end of a narrow corridor and this is where I met up with a friendly chap called Aidan (sp?) who showed me to my room and assured me I'd picked the jewel in the crown and he wasn't wrong ... the room was HUGE and well appointed with a lovely double bed, ensuite facilities, decent amenities, a fridge and a sea view! I decided to go out and explore a few minutes after Aidan had left and bought some fish and chips from Glover & Co. just down the road (towards the football ground) and they were top notch and well worthy of a plug here! I then went to a couple of decent bars and eventually made my way back to the hotel. I then had a nightcap at the hotel bar which was all but deserted but playing really loud music (which I didn't really mind too much). I then went back to my room and availed myself of the coffee making facilities before retiring to what was a very comfortable and spacious bed. I had a nice refreshing shower in the morning in the decent sized shower room before handing in my keys and returning to my car and then making my way to the local Tesco for a lovely breakfast!

United KingdomI could not find the place, the maps were a bit misleading for me, noone was amswering thephone and noone replied to my messages. I was panicking the place is a scam. The window in my room was broken, you could open it ,but it was hard
Whoever is responsible for cleaning the room, should receive a special praise. The toilet was very clean, the room was spotless. Although the room was dark and basic, but I felt good knowing that someone cleaned it so well

United Kingdomwould have loved a bath but that can't be helped.
Lovely big room, Both of the members of staff I met were very helpful, the lady who checked me in found me an extension lead for me so I could charge my bike. She also helped me up the stairs with my luggage which was very much appreciated. The breakfast lady was also lovely although I couldn't eat the 4 poached eggs on toast I was given for breakfast :).

United KingdomThe approach to the property wasn't very promising, as it was up a close. Keys were obtained from the bar of the pub downstairs, and the barmaid took us to the room, at the top of the building. The room itself was very clean and comfortable, with good quality bed linen, pillows and towels. Meals were not provided, but an excellent dinner was has at the adjacent Saltown Hotel.

United KingdomThe only thing for me was the stairs as we were on the top (3rd) floor. We couldn't get the tv in the room to work and didn't fancy going all the way down to tell them but that wasn't a huge issue.
Room was lovely and clean, very spacious and well equipped. Breakfast was amazing (they even went out in the morning to get gluten free bread to make me toast). Staff were very nice too.
