Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesThe apartment was unkept, it was smelling, linen old, the garden not slashed door way had garbage and the toilet was not clean. Took photos wouldn't encourage anyone to book this. Didn't stay there and they refused to refund me. It must be a plot to rip innocent travelers.

Isle of ManIt needs more attention to detail: it’s a 2 bedroom flat but the 2nd bedroom is off the first and looks as if it actually belonged to the next door flat! Radiator in that room didn’t work. The radiator in 1st bedroom had no thermostat so it couldn’t be turned off during the day when flat was vacant. There was no bedside table or lamp in 1st bedroom. Bathroom - no plug in hand basin. Toilet basin needs cleaning with a chemical as it was a discussing brown colour! Water from the shower leaked down into kitchen! No bath mat. Kitchen - a 2 bedroom flat should have 4 of everything BUT there was 1 teaspoon, only 2 mugs, 3 bowls, only 2 large tumblers and no wine glasses nor any other glass! There was a broken cupboard door. No tea towel for drying up. Lounge - small coffee table was broken.
Near to a park.

United KingdomThe sofa bed in the living room was broken - propped up with bricks! When I messaged the owner about this the reply was “a new one is on order” which wasn’t much use to me. The place was filthy, smelly and freezing cold. Old toilet roll tubes used to fill in gaps behind the bathroom sink. Dirty bed sheets… the list is endless (I have many photos). Also, there was someone in the property next door which is joined to this one by what I though was a cupboard door. There is an old fashioned keyhole so you can see through. At one point I thought someone was in the property! Quite creepy and frightening - does the person next door have a key?!
Not much to like to be honest. Large driveway for cars.

United KingdomWe paid £1,000 to stay somewhere else and checked out a few hours after we arrived. There was Black mold in the bedroom with two single beds, all across the bay window, Black mold in the bathroom and the sofa bed was snapped in half, and had been propped up with bricks. The host ignored and continues to ignore us throughout the entire complaints process and I'm still yet to receive a refund. Absolutely disgusting to allow people and potentially children stay in such a cold, damp, moldy and DANGEROUS accommodation, especially when the owner of the home is staying in a room next door, so, they can hear everything you say/do. It's creepy, the whole set up is just creepy. Stay away. Charging a high premium for a cold, damp place to stay - AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
Nothing.

United KingdomThe property is a shared property which they don’t specify, the power cut out and there was a leak throughout my whole stay. Upon arrival the sofa bed was also broken. The host didn’t answer calls and refused to reimburse.

FranceWe were 5, we had booked for 5 based on the pictures showing a dining table with 3 bedrooms. It turned out we only had a small appartment with 2 bedrooms. When we called to get further explanations noone answered. There was no central heating when we arrived, my husband who is electrician had to solve the problem. There were only 4 glasses, 4 plates, 4 of each. No mugs in the country of mugs of all! The housekeeper finally replied the next day saying the former guest must have had nicked them (probably along with one plate, one glass...). Turned out there is a sofa bed (or so called it). The housekeeper brought sheets for it but no quilt so it was of no use. The worst stay ever. We had to sleep with our 6 year old daughter in a double bed. Had to eat all 5 of us on a small coffee table (in turn). No broom to tidy the crumbs. And no electrical socket for the TV!

United Kingdom1st the bedrooms are off each other of which is not stated in the add on booking.com the bedding has stained on it with litter and thick dust on the floor around the beds to add the curtains are short of the floor in the bay window by 1m so you may as well not bother closing them ! And to add they are see through anyway so given the zero privacy I ended up sleeping on the sofa however the coffee table is dropping apart the door is off its hinges so won’t close again zero privacy I had no sleep as the gate outside the lounge now my bedroom is broken and slamming all night in the wind of which activates the light sensor in the hall so all night long it’s light on lights off lights on The bins was not empty last guests rubbish in them To be honest I wouldn’t put my dog in this place The host is a joke the customer service is bottom of there priority only want your money Avoid this place unless you want to stay in a very expensive sh*t hole

United KingdomThe property was listed as a 3 bed apartment and only two bedrooms were open . It wasn’t very clean , the wardrobe and furniture were broken and not fit for purpose.. Absolutely appalled that the owner hasn’t given us a full refund as we didn’t even stay in the property as it was not up to standard and it was dangerous as the fire alarms weren’t turned on !!
