The bathroom was only accessible via the landing (not "en-suite").. not really an issue and probably not something that can be changed as this is an old house

The rooms show signs of age. For me this was normal and absolutely fine. If you are looking for perfectly sterile surroundings this might not be the place for you - but you'd be missing out.

Best cooked English breakfast ever. This is an old Farmhouse! It has its own character - none of the sterility, anonymity and uniformity of modern hotel chains. Each room is different and if you leave the window open, as I did, you might find a tiny spider's web in the window - a wonderful testament to the fact that you are not removed from nature and that you are in some of England's most beautiful countryside. The people who run this place will go out of their way to help and assist you wherever they can. I was positively surprised at the attention to detail. One small example was the very pleasant continental style, light, down duvet blanket that I would not have expected in an English bed and breakfast.

Everything about our stay was excellent. Breakfast, room, staff etc. It definitely exceeded our expectations. The location was close to where we wanted to be, so all in all a great success.

It would have been nice to have some fruit provided at breakfast, maybe even a fresh fruit salad or just fresh fruit. In the bedroom there appeared to be only 2 accesible plug sockets which were together under the window. There was no mirror in the bedroom so drying my hair was tricky as I balanced my small travelling mirror on the end of the bed so I could see what I was doing.

The cooked breakfast was very good. There was a choice of cereals, and also hot toast. The beds were comfortable and the bed linen was of a really good quality. It was quiet and the hosts were pleasant and helpful. The shower in the bathroom was powerful and the shower cubicle of a decent size.

Nothing really, probably getting used of the bathroom roof but didn't deter us once we got used of it. It was a quiet area & there were others staying there.

The breakfast was excellent but I had never eaten black pudding before & thankfully they had me try some, my opinion is that I am glad we don't have this in Australia. Not saying it was not nice, average.

Maybe a touch up of paint but hey it’s a gorgeous building so not the end of the world.

Clarisges was beautiful, historical beautifull property, a pleasure too stay in such an aged property, soooo quite, best sleep in months. Beautifull bedding great mattress, lovely personable hosts, great breakfast. Would stay again 👍😊🏡🌸

Hosts were lovely, very accommodating. Old world charm B&B.Large bedroom and bathroom. Lovely comfortable bed. Location is excellent for both Bath and Bristol. EV fast charge point 2 miles towards Bath on main route.

Very warm, no ac, no fan and the window wouldn't securely open. It was a very warm day in fairness. But maybe a pedestal fan should be available for these days.

This is a beautiful old farmhouse set in an idyllic countryside location. The host was lovely and the breakfast was amazing, well worth it. We stayed in a huge yellow 4 poster bed, en-suite room. Really good value for money and highly recommended! We’ll be back :)

Gravel drive, which was not ideal as we were on a motorcycle and the outside of the property was a bit rundown, not good for first impressions, but the inside was very clean and had some lovely articles and furniture. Listed as 4 star, not more than a 3 star in our opinion.

Beautiful old farmhouse. Lots of character. Great position for Bath or Bristol. Friendly family, very welcoming. Huge bedroom, lovely comfortable bed. Shower ensuite. All you need for a comfortable stay. Reasonably priced for the area. Highly recommend. Have booked for another stay next month.
