Parking was a bit awkward but we followed the instructions given! Couple of dusty areas in the corners of the room and noisy floorboards. There weren’t any dishwasher tablets provided either.

The property is a lovely cottage with a huge garden which was brilliant for the dog. It had a little outdoor seating area, a great hot tub and sauna which was very enjoyable. Good value for money and we had a lovely time. Nice sized rooms too.

Not a criticism at all but be aware the lanes to and from the property are tiny with very few passing places. Parking can be a challenge as the property is next to a working farm with huge machinery so expect to be asked to move your car on busy days. The property is less suitable for people with limited mobility as there are stairs up to the property and then again from the property to the garden.

Beautiful location, lovely views and lots of garden space to play. Very comfortable beds and reasonably equipped kitchen. Very peaceful and being able to use the hot tub is wonderful. The hosts are very thoughtful and have provided lots of nice touches such as games, books, DVDs, blankets to snuggle under when it is chilly. All the rooms are spacious and well appointed and there are some nice quirky bits and pieces around the cottage.

A bit dated, can do with some maintenance work and deep cleaning (especially the shower door), maybe a new toilet seat. Kitchen not well equipped - maybe one decent pan and a spatula or two. Always a nice touch to leave some foil, baking paper, plastic wrap and basics like salt and pepper. The heating wasn’t working for us and despite using the heaters provided we were very cold at night. Internet is very poor and did affect our stay as we have two tweens. I would be happy watching dvds but kids like their WiFi. Found the beds and pillows very uncomfortable. Be prepared for the very narrow Devon lanes. Parking was terrible at this property as it got muddy and there wasn’t enough space to park. Trying to move into the side lane was too tricky for us. Another parking solution should be investigated especially in the winter months.

Location of hot tub was great. Sauna was a nice touch too though couldn’t get it to really heat up. Loved the log fire.

Unfortunately the place was very dirty. Looks like it hasn't had a proper clean in some time. We found an old sock in the sofa, random shopping lists and used paper under the beds and in drawers, the oven was v greasy and the house smelled. There were also cobwebs and clumps of dust and dirt everywhere. I think the property was probably nice when it was first done up, but it needs some love. The folding doors from the main bedroom (which kind of sold it to us from the pictures!) were broke so couldn't be opened at all. The curtain for that is also not big enough so doesnt cover the windows! The hot tub area was muddy, there was no clear laid path so you had to walk through mud to get to it. There is also no outside light so it was pretty dangerous using the hot tub after 4pm (as we visited in the winter). There were broken blinds, lampshades, carpet etc. The children's room was filthy, with marks/stains on most walls, surfaces. I understand that rental properties do get a little rough round the edges with time, but the cleanliness and condition of this place is what let's it down. I also don't think that the parking space is sufficient for a standard car. When we arrived it was a large tump of mud and was incredibly difficult to get in and out of.

The location is great for exploring the local bays, beaches etc. Plus it was dog friendly which made life easier. The addition of a hot tub and a real fire was a bonus.

It’s a little tired, but as they take dogs, I expect that’s to be expected. Could do with new pillows, and there’s no freezer compartment in the fridge. Could do with instructions for the TV!

Lovely very rural and quiet location, the hot tub was fabulous. Spacious. A few minutes to dog friendly beaches and Dartmouth.
