Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe only issue we had was the air conditioning, which made a beeping noise every few seconds during the night — maybe we just didn’t know how to turn it off properly. Other than that, everything was perfect. Would definitely recommend!
We had a great stay at Coalshed Hostel! The place was lovely and had such a cool, unique look — even better than we expected. We had a room for four, and my kids were absolutely over the moon. The grounded coffee in the morning was a huge win for me (it’s the only coffee I drink!), and the kids loved playing on the pool table. We were also pleasantly surprised by the honest drink bar — such a nice touch!

United KingdomFor some reasons the sockets of our room didn't work so we charged our phones at the communal area.
We were to lucky a free space for our car on the small street out of the building. Access was very easy using the codes. When we entered we felt a bit cold because the aircon was on so we turneed it off immediately. However, it gets warm in the morning so I see the point. The room and the communal areas were very clean and tidy. There were clean towels and the bathroom was equipped with toiletries. Nice touch the offered granola, coffee and tea pouches and milk. Our toddler loved the communal area play areas first thing in the morning. When we left the room we moved our car close by and enjoyed our morning in Bristol centre which is quite close.

United KingdomNothing- it was perfect for us!
The property was wonderful! It was a really relaxed place to stay, and absolutely perfect for our family with a 6 and 2 year old. The whole place was extremely clean, and had everything we needed, including lots of lovely touches like fresh coffee and granola. The communal space was fantastic, which lots of entertainment, and the rooms felt private even though they were off the communal space. We will definitely be returning to stay here! The area is perfect for families, with a park right on the doorstep, a pub with a beer garden right behind and plenty of lovely cafes and shops nearby. The harbour is a 10 minute walk with loads and loads to do with children. Thank you so much for having us!

SwitzerlandDidn't know there would be no real window (only the one facing the comunal area). But that was no big deal as there were multiple blinds you could close if you wished.
Clean, comfortable and affordable. Easy self check-in and check-out. 20min walk to the city center. We enjoyed playing pool and table tennis.

United KingdomI only stayed one night but it was a good experience. I'm nor sure how many rooms there were but opposite the communal area there were 5. When I stayed it was quiet. There was no noise after 10pm. I got regular texts during my stay from the owners and they helped me out quite quickly with a couple of questions. The location of the warehouse is on a cul de sac and next to a skate park. There is tons of graffiti and photos come out great at night. There's graffiti everywhere in Bedminster! You're provided with a code for the front door and for your room. My room had a double and a single. It's compact living. I was surprised to see plates and bowls and a fridge. I didn't really need these but handy if staying more than one night. Good bathroom. Good beds. Good temperature control. Plenty of toilet roll. Lots of hanging space. Dimmable lights.

GreeceA really coll and cozy place. It had everything we needed and we loved the attention to detail, for example the treats. You could tell it's a family run business by the warmth. Also, we had a (super) late arrival and the self check in process was so helpful, as were the instructions sent to us.

IrelandThe only very small con would have been the water tank on the toilet seemed to go off frequently as though it was partially flushing. It was noticeable throughout the night but I don't feel I would have noticed it as much if I wasn't already on edge about oversleeping as we had to be up so early.
Great little place. Facilities were brilliant and most amazingly there was air-conditioning unit which is rare to see in such a small space. Could make freshly brewed coffee in the room (we didn't get a chance this occasion as up so early). Spacious for a small unit too. I loved it and will be back on my next trip to bristol! I didnt get a chance to meet anyone working/running the place but I had all the information I needed in a text to get in and get key plus, plenty of information posts around the place on how things work.

United KingdomReally wasn't comfortable with the location. As a solo female traveller arriving at night, the area looked run down and a bit threatening. The fact there were bins and a skip outside didn't help the curb appeal.
Very comfy beds and well appointed room.

AustriaThe room is quite big but the bathroom is small. The outside of the hotel is shady. Looks like a rough neighbourhood with lots of closed stores and graffiti.
Common area is huge with lots of amenities such as board games and pool game and a well equipped kitchen. Free cornflakes. Check in super easy. Just contact the owner on booking. Easy to reach by bus.
