It's definitely a hotel for pensioners! We were probably the only family there below 40 :-) Felt a bit like walking into a retirement home and the decor to match :-) Guess this is why the elevator was so slow. (Needs delayed time for slow movers!? :-) The pool and hot tub was a bit milky (hence the 3 day 'closed for maintenance' booking) which we found out about on the second day of our stay, just as we were hoping to have our last swim. So a bit of a let down there. Could they have not cleaned it overnight? To avoid disruption of service? A bit of mold and sand around the hot tub and pool. Hopefully, this was rectified during the maintenance. Single bed for our daughter was super uncomfortable.

The indoor pool , sauna and hot tub was a plus. Close to the beach and town central. Room was clean.

When I booked, I selected what was described as a ‘large double bed’, I'm certain it was just a standard double so unsure what a 'large double' refers to but it wasn’t a issue to the point I felt I needed to mention it to the hotel, Our room was roadside, from memory I’m sure the windows were single-pane so expect some traffic noise if you’re a light sleeper, I’m not so didn’t affect our stay. Additional charge to park the car, however the price was reasonable compared to local council car parks and you can extend further into the following day for a top up, just would have been a nice touch to include this as there is plenty of space behind the hotel, just felt a bit greedy, but I appreciate Bournemouth parking is at a premium, especially that close to the beach.

Room was clean and comfortable, starting to look tired in places but nothing major considering the price point and age of the hotel. Very child orientated which was nice as I travelled with my children (10/11) we felt very welcome here which should go without saying but quite often is doesn’t in other establishments. Staff were friendly, especially the barman who didn't stop smiling, a smile makes all the difference in hospitality sector, not everyone appreciates this – keep it up 😊! Pool is small but sufficient and has a jacuzzi and sauna. There is an outside seating area for drinks in the summer that backs onto the car park. There is a games room with table tennis, table football and pool which was on free play. Location to the beach, within a 5-10 minute walk to the Pier which was the main reason for booking. Can walk into town within 10 minutes with access to the shops and the Bournemouth gardens. The breakfast which was included in the price we paid was incredible and highly recommended ! In summary we only stayed the one night which was enjoyable and would def stay here again – thank you

The pool is somewhat outdated.

Great location, clean, exactly what we paid for. The pool is on the small side but we were happy there was one. We also needed a few clothes to be cleaned and they actually found a solution for us despite not having an internal cleaning service, so that was much appreciated. We had a nice diner there as well.

Very slow lift

Great hotel. 6 mins walk into town or down to the beach. Staff were great. Especially in the bar and restaurant. Room was cozy, but nicely decorated and clean. Comfy bed. Excellent breakfast with plenty of choice. Happy Hour in the bar 8pm until 10 was great. Nice outdoor area. There was a games room and spa, however we didn't use them.

I knew there wasn't air conditioning, but underestimated how hot it would be. we were on the top floor and it did get very hot. A nice improvement would be to add A/C at least in the south facing rooms Also it wasn't an issue, but it would be nice if they have high chairs for the little ones. Ours could sit with us but a high chair would have worked better, .

The friendliness of the staff, location and facilities was great, everything was very smooth. We got some bedsheets to replace the duvets as we were not going to use them and got also one of those air coolers with water. They also refill your water bottle throughout the day which was really welcome in a very hot day Only stayed for one night, and I would repeat the stay at a time where it is not too hot so I don't need air con.

The bathroom was extremely small in comparison to the size of the room and made it very tight to use the toilet comfortably. Whilst there was a good choice for breakfast, the lack of a properly working toaster meant that we almost gave up on having toast as it took nearly 10 minutes to get one piece even slightly cooked. It would be great if they could invest in a new toaster, so that guests didn’t have to stand and wait for so long.

Great location to the town centre and the the beach. Parking facilities on site were good for guests and allowed easy access to the hotel. Good range of choice for breakfast. Staff on reception were helpful and accommodated any requests.

A bit rough on the edges from my perspective. Based on the photos and the price I paid I was expecting a more luxurious experience and attention to details. Carpet at reception and throughout the hotel let it down on first impressions which is a shame as the newly decorated breakfast areas and bar is lovely. The room had stained on the walls, bathroom and toilet weren't cleaned up to my standards and again the carpet didn't leave the best impression. We slept quite well until the guests above our room decided to move around their room from 7am and the creaky floor woke us up. It's an old building and unfortunately sound proofing is what it is. I also didn't know the place was dog friendly and I wasn't a fan myself of dog barking although it was occasional, but I should have double checked the details I guess. As I was put off by the old carpet, smells and level of cleanliness I ended up not going to the pool and spa facilities so I cannot comment on those services. Overall I felt misled by the photos and details of the property, it wasn't matching my expectations and I believe I paid too much for what I got.

The room was very tight for 2 adults and a 11yo. We also travelled with 2 small dogs, which made it almost impossible to even open the wardrobe.

The location was super and the staff was very friendly. We enjoyed our breakfast a lot and also the afternoon drinks outside in the garden. Playing a round of pool was also good fun.

I book a room with extra large bed ,i recieve on the same money just double bed. I was to the reception to say to them,them say "sorry but is full booked and if is coming something I'll let you know". For me is not normal to pay extra,for something extra what i need ,and I recieve something different on the same price. They was writing on the reception LOG and when I check out, i recieve just the visit card for Hotel Manager. No sorry about that,no the difference of the money , nothing ...a bit disappointed about staff reception,because we care about you and you need to care about your customer s! 😉

The staff is very helpful and really friendly. Perfect location 7 min walking to the centre and 4 mins to the beach. Beds are very comfortable too and the pool is lovely!! Breakfast is nice. We will be back for sure!

The staff (apart from the barman) were not the friendliest. They are not rude but most of the time do not acknowledge you at all. We paid for 2 rooms for 1 week and spent over £2000 with the hotel and was charged a £5 fee to have a refrigerator in the room, I feel like small things like this make a big difference. Towards the end of our holiday, the pool area was not as clean (not sure if the pool was cleaned once a week), but the pool had a lot of hair and dirt in it.

The hotel is in a great location, the rooms are nice, some nicer than others, there are some larger rooms with lots of storage and the hotel rooms are very clean. The pool area is great and there is a games room, which is a nice bonus. The maids are very pleasant and helpful.
