We were met by Rachel as soon as we arrived. She escorted us to the cottage and went through all of the things we needed to know to enjoy our stay. Rachel had provided so many extras which we were not expecting. We loved the cottage and if you are looking for a 200 year old cottage in a quite village then you have found it. Perfect. A warm welcome from Rachel. The cottage is fabulous, kitted out with everything you could want. Two fireside chairs, which I imagine in the winter would be so cosy, along with throws. The kitchen was fully fitted and ideal for a night or a weeks stay, catering for yourself. Complimentary tea, coffee, sugar, milk and biscuits. We managed the spiral staircase fine and found a lovely comfortable bed and perfect en-suite.sift fluffy towels were supplied too! Plenty of room, wardrobe, chest of drawers and amazing views from the windows. The Pub just around the corner at the end of the lane has a great menu and food was first class.

Really lovely property with an excellent host. Located in a quiet village, but with good access to some of Somerset's top attractions via car. Comfy bed, clean property and plenty of amenities. A great place to stay.

It was cosy, peaceful and homely. The cottage was well equipped, very clean and the hosts were wonderful!They were there to greet us on arrival and on hand if we needed anything, adding little extra touches, milk tea, coffee, biscuits etc. Local pub within walking distance,serving great food.

Rachel was hospitable. The little touches that make all the difference, such as milk in the fridge, ground coffee, dishwasher tablets. Tasteful and immaculate decoration. Cottage was tiny but lots of character and great kitchen.

Absolutely perfect, beautifully homely feel. Everything you could need. Excellent location with pub within walking distance if required. Lovely kitchen, extremely clean and well presented. Hosts welcoming. Use of garden if required. Spiral staircase was no issue.

Rachel was very warm and welcoming and showed us round the cottage. The cottage is set in a very beautiful part of the country and the pub serving food was only 6mins walk away. The accommodation had everything we needed. Thoroughly recommended.

Lovely, quiet and private. There was every thing you should need there. Owners are lovely and really helpful. Dog friendly and had most dog equipment there. Local pub is nice, also dog friendly, food there is really nice, local people are friendly and helpful too, such a lovely area, clean and tidy.

Wonderful location and property. Only sad we could not stay longer as had an early flight from Bristol Airport. Rachel the host was brilliant with simple touches like cold milk in the fridge and helping us book a table at the local pub.

We loved the quaint little cottage! The host was so lovely and accommodating and gave us great recommendations on local places to go for dinner during our stay. The place was very homesome, with everything we needed. The fireplace area was so comfy and inviting - I couldn’t resist sitting with a book in the morning and watching the world go by through the big windows. It felt like you had your own little slice of peace and quiet. We came down for our friends wedding, but we would absolutely stay here again if we were coming back!

We have no adverse comments and any criticism would be unjustified. Prospective guest should consider the narrow and steep spiral stairs - which add to the character of the cottage.

Beautiful location just outside this small village in the Mendips. A cottage full of character and luxuriously equipped. We were very well looked after by Rachel & Roo prior to and on our arrival.
