Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

New ZealandSecurity bond information email was not fully explicit that it could take 5 days for refund process to start. Bond refund came through 100% fine but the delay could be financially tough for some.
Quiet and private. Nice to be able to open the door to the wee back yard and enjoy the summer weather.

United KingdomThe only issue I had was with the heating. Whilst it was helpful to have the video, turning the thermostat knobs on the radiators it is only useful if the thermostat in the main house has been set appropriately. If there is someone staying in the main house they control the heating, which means it can go from no heating to very hot at any time of the day or night. I used the heaters provided for the first few days which was fine for this time of year. I then contacted the host. They were very helpful but were unable to give me any control. This is definitely something that needs to be sorted as I would definitely wouldn't want to stay there during the winter. If this was fixed I would definite give it a 10+ rating
The accommodation is in a quiet residential area with plenty of free parking and a lovely little private garden. It was lovely, clean and spacious, the kitchen was small but was well equipped and had everything I needed. The fridge was small but I was pleased it had some freezer space. It was well furnished and the bed and the settie were very comfortable. The TV was very easy to operate. Aldi & Lidl were just a 5 minute drive away. I would definitely stay again dispite my comments below.

United KingdomThe annexe is connected to the main house and heating is controlled by a thermostat in that house. When I first arrived it was snowing and in minus temperatures. The property was freezing cold and it took me 2 days to gain access to the main house to get consistent heating as the previous tenants had turned the thermostat down to 8. There are small electric blowers in the property but in those temperatures they were next to useless. When a new group arrived it was a large party and the bedroom of the annexe is connected by a simple door right next to their lounge. I struggled to sleep for 2 nights as a result. Lastly, the kitchen is really not fit for purpose and not as expected given how much they charge for this property. It really needs an update / rethink. See pictures.
Location was great with off road parking. Bed and lounge were comfortable.
