Decent sized apartment although if using the pull out bed in living area it lessens size a lot. Parking easy Rooms were clean and bread and cereal and milk plus a few snacks provided too

At first glance, due to the surrounding area, we were unsure whether to stay. The car park seems to be a repair area, but in saying that, it was very quiet and no problems.

Well equipped with everything you needed for a short break,clean and tidy with cereal,milk, bread etc provided. Comfortable bed.. Area was quiet and car parking either on small car park or road. Excellent communication from owners.Ideal for visiting the Auckland Project.Large supermarkets 5 mins away

Personally the shower wasn't very powerful but that's just personal preference. Cobwebs around the living room ceiling and bathroom area. However saying that the apartment was clean and tidy.

For our stay this was just a base to sleep, as we were here to visit family. It was a great location for shops, hair and beauty places, food, fuel etc. The area for us looked a bit daunting at first however it was very quiet. The apartment was spacious inside had everything you'd need.

The check in time was changed from 3pm (as stated on booking.com) to 5pm in check in email. I would not have booked this property if I had known about the delayed check in time, we had plans for the evening and it meant that we had to eat early before the check in to ensure we could get freshened up after a long day travel. When we got there, the apartment had not been cleaned, the owner had got held up at another property. She arrived about 15 minutes after us to clean the property and worked around us, we didn't get to relax in the property at all before we had to go out again for the evening, although it wasn't a relaxing apartment. The owner was apologetic though and offered us the late check out until 12 as compensation, we did not take her up on this offer. The approach to the apartment looks a bit grim and the apartment itself was a shabby in places and not in a chic way, there was also a strange smell and the towels were thin and a bit grey. The kitchen had everything that you needed and was clean enough but we didn't use it. The bed was reasonably comfy.

Easy access to town i.e hospital, train station and bus routes. The flat was easy to get to and check in and also it was nice and comfortable to stay too. Kay is so lovely and we will be staying again.

Mould in the bathroom. Dirty steps leafy up to apartment. Carpet lifted (trip hazard). Flooring in kitchen patched up with sticky tape. Smelt of stale cigarette smoke.

Just needs a little TLC/decorating - it could be really lovely. Sink in bathroom didn't drain properly, handle missing from one of kitchen cupboards, dead plants and full ash tray on balcony ...

Cosy and comfortable, excellent wi-fi, easy to walk into town. We were there for the Kynren Festival and it was an easy walk to the shuttle bus and the Castle, shops etc

The flat smelt bad and aggravated my husband's asthma. Towel in bathroom covered in dust and dirt. Outside stairwell to flat was boarded up and the area felt unsafe. Owners not responding to us or booking.com regarding conditions or refund.

The photos on booking need updating from this property. They are misleading regarding the beds. The bedroom had 3 beds on photos but there were only 2 in the room. The living room had a sofa bed and a chair. There were no sheets on the quilt and no visible bedding to use. We were there as a family of 5, to stay after going to kynren. We didn't even sleep here the night! It seemed at the time there was only capacity for 4 people. It wasn't until the next day and scrutinising their photos that we realised the chair in the living room was a chair bed. There was no note from the host to highlight any points which may have needed clarification. The block of flats isn't secure, anyone can access through the downstairs outer door. There is a warning sticker on the building at the back about crime in the area. There were 2 black bags of rubbish on the landing from 2 of the other flats in the block. Our kids didn't feel comfortable to sleep there (and they aren't well travelled kids, happy to see new places). We aren't snobs, we live on a council estate. There was just something about this place that put us on edge. So unfortunately had to drive back to Newcastle with 2 under 10s, getting home after midnight.
