Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Clean tidy well situated of the M5 for the 1/2 way stop to Devon. Quirky in character and the pub food next door as spot on. A big bonus was the electric charger for the car which we were allowed to charge for free. Would defo stop again. Hosts were spot on.

United KingdomNothing at all.
Checking in was really easy, as we received a message on the day of arrival, informing of us of the location of the keys within a lock box, so there was no need to check in as such. The parking was on a massive car park that serves the pub and right next to the cottage, so no long walk with heavy bags. The cottage was perfect for our overnight stay, with a double bed upstairs and a sofa bed downstairs, facing the TV, which also has Netflix and Youtube ( good for the kids ! ) The little kitchen had everything we needed- fridge, toaster, kettle, fridge, microwave and even a coffee machine. The bathroom is downstairs, next to the kitchen and with the ceilings being so low due to the age of the cottage, I had to stoop when stood in the bath getting a shower and anyone around 6ft plus, would have the same problem ( didn`t bother me though ) There`s a bit of road noise from the road outside, so if you`re a light sleeper ear plugs may required. The views from the car park and the back of the pub / beer garden are simply stunning and there`s a play area for the kids which is part of the pub too. Lastly we ate in the pub and not only is the pub beautiful, but the food was out of this world and tremendous value for the quality of the food. ( the real ale was very well kept too ) Also the pub had the bonus of a proper pub dog - Fred, who kept the whole pub entertained !!!! I wouldn`t hesitate to go back.

United KingdomWould have like more of a garden to just pop the dogs into rather than having to walk them to the playing field. Although the dogs did enjoy playing with Freddy the pub dog.
It was a very cosy cottage and loved the layout. Lots of parking and very close to pub and dog walks.

United KingdomMyself, husband, 2 children and our dog stayed over night and were very happy with how comfortable and clean the accommodation was. It’s a beautiful little cottage, perfect for our over night stay! We would definitely recommend to anyone! There was plenty of accessories to help with your stay in the kitchen if you need them. Pub right in front of you and the most beautiful view. Peaceful at night with only the sound of the odd car going by!
