Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomFree parking was limited. Shower was from a mixer tap, therefore hard to control the temperature for children. Traffic noise from passing motorbikes at night and early hours.
Central location. Very near West midlands safari park. Very comfortable beds. Bread and milk to use.

United KingdomWe couldn't get the shower to work consistently, the bath was great though, loads of hot water. The street was noisy at night with cars going up and down but we probably noticed it because we live in a very quiet place normally.
Very cute, querky cottage. Very clean, kitchen well stocked (although we didn't actually cook). Great position for getting into town. Parking was an unexpected bonus as it can be tricky in Bewdley. Great, quick responses from the owner.

United KingdomI hate to moan because I had a wonderful stay. Please just put a banister on the stairs for us weak kneed biddies. The shower was very temperamental on hot/cold. It was either cold or too hot.
l loved the quirky cottage and I absolutely love old buildings with history. It had everything we needed for the weekend. And came up trumps with the ice bag we wanted. plus leaving us bread and milk was amazing. Comfy beds and clean. A stones throw walk to the town and parking over the road was perfect. We felt right at home there.

United KingdomNothing. All great
Excellent location in the centre of Bewdley. Host was brilliant in leaving a dog bed/bedding and even treats for our two. Great communication. Bathroom needs a bit of modernising but understand this is being done shortly. Will 100% be back. Thanks Gareth for providing a great base for our chillout weekend.

United KingdomCan't actually think of anything
What a sweet and cosy house. Centrally located in Bewdley, with lovely walks, pubs and restaurants by the River Severn. Our dog was well catered for with a nice bed and plenty of treats. We parked our car in the local car park, which obviously costs extra, but it was worth it. Especially as we could take the dog for a little walk around the gardens next to the car park.

United KingdomThe only thing that could be improved slightly is the fitment of a shower curtain in the bath.
Second time staying here, lovely place in the Centre of Bewdley, near to the main town centre. Great for the Severn Valley Railway which is why we were visiting Bewdley. I love this place, obviously the building is around 200 years old so the floorboards and stairs are a bit wonky, which I love. The host has been great both times, with fresh milk and bread being left.

United KingdomLack of parking, not ideal for anyone with mobility issues. Get the feeling this cottage is usually occupied, lived in daily. Felt more like I was staying at someone's house where they live. Lots of food left in the house, which felt odd, especially as freezer was completely full. On the surface cottage appeared clean but think it could do with a real good clean. Shower not great either, as water either runs too hot or too cold and still no shower curtain either!
Location was great and the pub virtually opposite was a great find. Bed on the first floor was huge and really comfortable.

United KingdomHouse needs work completing on it. No bannisters on wooden stairs could be dangerous if you slipped , no grab rail in the bathroom, bath panel is broken, shelf hanging off in the toilet. Shower is either scolding hot or freezing cold. We wouldn't stay here again.

United KingdomOnly 1 rope banister on bottom set of stairs despite second set of stairs leading to bathroom. Stairs didn't feel safe and secure. Due to single glazed windows road noise was higher than we expected and facing a pub made it louder that expected at night too. Parking was finding a space on street about 5 mins away, parking outside someone's house or paid parking. Loose floorboards in bedroom made passing the TV at the end of the bed slightly dangerous with a child. Overall most likely won't restay unfortunately.
Comfortable all amenities required were available, close to town center, good WiFi connection. Could unload at the front of the house before going to park.
