Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe stairs were fine for us, but if you have any mobility issues obviously it’s going to be a problem.
The property is very small but warm and comfortable. Lovely host who turned up the heating to suit my (cold blooded) tastes.

United KingdomI had to be careful on the stairs but they are manageable if you use both hands to grip the rails. Husband fine.
Arrival and door lock really well explained. Parking was easy at the weekend. We used the surgery which was shut. We were lucky to find space in the road on the Friday. Perfect spot to walk for coffee shops food. Davies bakery we remember fondly from our youth

United Kingdom'Cosy' when the weather is colder, but in hot weather, small is probably more appropriate. In itself not a problem, but there is a notable absence of shelves. Downstairs on the comfortable sofa, the floor is the only surface within reach for cups or wine glasses. Upstairs, there is one bedside table, nothing else unless you count a window seat/box with a cushion cover. In the bathroom, similarly, more shelving or usable surfaces would have been good. The spiral staircase is also fairly tight and requires care, not helped by the handrail touching the wall in two places so having to shift your grip. There is a rechargeable vacuum on the wall that doesn't work so cleaning is via broom, dustpan and brush. There is a larger vacuum cleaner in the bottom of the wardrobe but we had no energy to get it out - and certainly not to get it downstairs. The emailed instructions were quite daunting in their detail, confirming the 'parking space' was so complicated to access it wasn't worth the risk. The street parking, similarly, is at a premium and in high season I'd have thought virtually impossible to find a space without driving around the tortuous one-way system.
Location close to The Mumbles front and main cafes/restaurants and shops is excellent. A short walk downhill and longer along the front takes you to the pier, big wheel and lighthouse. There is also a reasonable pay & display carpark just around the corner - £25 for seven days. The apartment is clean, has a cooker, microwave, wide-screen TV and washing machine. The wardrobe is also big enough for a week's worth of clothes with decent hangers. There was coffee, washing up equipment and a toilet roll on arrival. Plenty of local coffee shops too and an M&S food hall within easy walking distance.

United KingdomThe onsite parking space is not worth the hassle, I have a VW polo and managed to scrape and dent the side of my car attempting to get my car down the small alleyway😩. There’s perfectly good parking just seconds away from the property, it is pay and display, but I would definitely opt for this if I was to return.
The property was clean, comfortable and well equipped. It’s in a great location, only a couple of minutes away from the shops and a five minute walk to the seafront.

United KingdomRubbish in the garden outside the property, did not offer the ideal welcome, this needs to be cleared. The property states and is ideal for two adults. There was a small dining table ideal for 2 but there were 4 chairs - get rid of 2 of the chairs to make space in the kitchen/lounge/dining area as this looked cluttered. The corner sofa unit was ideal for 4 people but was just too big for the room. A 2-seater sofa would have been ideal, maybe with some side tables, again making a small space less cluttered. Also, get rid of the extra crockery and cutlery, creating more cupboard space. Mops and other cleaning equipment ideally needs to be out of side and not on view under the stairs. Iron circular stairway up to the bedroom was unsafe with several of the upright guards broken Allocated car parking space is ideal for mini sized car. Our Volvo was just too large to make use of the parking space allocated. £55 cleaning charge for a one night stay did not make this property value for money!
Property was ideally located for walking everywhere. Property was clean and tidy on this inside and the host was very clear in the instructions on car parking space and how to access the property. Nice that there was tea and coffee already in the cupboards. Nice size fridge too.

United KingdomThe area is great, lots of places to eat and drink and 5 mins walk to beach front. Lovely section of the Welsh coastal path. Would not recommend the property for people who struggle with walking its a very hilly area

United KingdomNothing really - our only very minor issue was that I didn't properly read the host's email on arrival. He was however easily reachable and good humoured when my mistake was spotted.
Cosy in a good way, rather than in estate agent speak. We needed a longish stay in Swansea at short notice, and were a little limited on options. Not a fan of chain hotels etc. as they're a bit barren and souless, often leaving you feeling slightly trapped when spending an evening in the room. There were much larger and more expensive holiday lets available but these would have been overkill for us (not to mention over budget). Getting frustrated a colleague suggested booking.com and their search put this house in exactly the right area, available, and within budget. We were initially slightly concerned it was small, but actually it was exactly what we needed compared to a boring hotel room. We had a well equipped kitchen that saved us a fortune vs. eating out every night, comfortable space to eat, and we were able to plug our Apple TV in for evening games and movies. The couple of times we did eat out we were within easy walking distance of anything we needed. There's an M&S food a 2 minute walk down the road which is super convenient (there's also local shops, cafe, and I think a small Tesco too). Seating area was ample for the two of us and plenty comfortable. Bed had a good mattress (my wife is fussy about these things) and quality sheets. Shower room had everything we needed and was really clean. We had a couple of chilly nights and whilst the heaters look small they were actually very effective and had the place toasty within about 20 minutes. I've not needed to stay in Mumbles before but will absolutely book here if we need to stay again.
