This cottage was a wonderful surprise for us - We booked it only as a short stop on our way back down home and were not expecting much. we were met with a lovely host (Debbie) and a beautiful cottage - larger, private, with an amazing bath and the most comfy bed we slept in throughout our 10 days holiday. The area is beautiful - full of wildlife and views!

A lovely cottage with nice touches such as delicous caramel shortbread awaiting us along with milk and eggs. The log burner (already prepped for use) was welcome at the end of a damp day. The place was spacious for us as a family of four, spotlessly clean and Debbie, the host, was very accommodating.

Perfect place to stay with the family for 2 nights. Lovely location with privacy and 2 nice seating areas. Beds were extremely comfy and the place was decorated beautifully. We will definitely be back again.

Everything! Location was great for exploring the forest but being central enough to service station and pub. Very cosy, beautiful property, great for star gazing! We will definitely stay again!

First Christmas away from home and we were SO glad we chose the Fauld o Wheat Cottage to stay at. Debbie was an incredible host who couldn't do enough for you. The cottage was immaculate, extremely cosy and had everything you would need for a short/long stay. The cottage was also beautifully decorated for Christmas. The surrounding areas were stunning, every morning we looked out onto the most beautiful scenery ( aswell as the sheep and goats in the back - Bonus!!). Lots of birds to look at throughout the day in the back, saw plenty of Red Kites and my favourite, Robins!. Debbie was even so kind enough to let us see the cows and we fed one of them which was just an incredible experience! We loved it that much we rebooked for next year after 10 minutes of being there 😂. Thank you so much for making our Christmas that extra bit magical with your beautiful cottage and incredible hospitality, we already can not wait to come back.

I really loved the decor and vibe of this cottage. It was extra cosy with the log burner and had lovely Christmas lights/decorations up. Very clean too! Good black out curtains and a comfy bed made for a great night's sleep. Wonderful hospitality from my host, Debbie, from start to finish. She was really helpful and accommodating, sending directions and info straight after I booked. Lots of thoughtful touches in the cottage made for a special stay.

There was nothing to dislike- it was just right!

That we had to leave we wish we had made the stay a little longer now as the cottage had that very warm and welcoming feeling that made us won’t to stay longer …… we couldn’t fined one thing that we didn’t like about this the property sorry

The cottage was amazing even better in really life than just looking at a photo very cosy everything we could haven’t wonted and more added bonus was fined that our Host had set up the wood burner for us getting there so very warm and cosy and also leaving us out some yummy millionaire shortbread we will be back again thank you for being a amazing host

Having to leave a great location

Clean well appointed spacious. Kind of cottage you would happily live in full time. Had one of the best meals out for a long time down the road at Clachan Inn Not in expensive but well worth it as a holiday treat.

There was nothing we didn't like. An excellent stay! Ideal for peace, quiet, walking, cycling and generally checking out the local area

Great location for the areas that we wanted to visit. A very peaceful area, out of the way, with a view of the forest. The cottage is modern and light. It has all the facilities and debbie was on hand if we needed anything. A brilliant place to stay.
