Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The foyer and eating area felt well maintained and up to date whilst keeping in style with the building but the but the corridors and bedrooms didn't feel as well maintained

Didn't like the thickness of the dust on the wardrobe and table, also carpet hadn't been hoovered before our arrival. The shower unit lolked like it had been thrown together, has rusty brackets and mould practically all around edges and sealant coming away from bottom of shower tray and shower curtain wasn'tvery clean. Calling this an onsuite is a bit deceptive. One of the beds is broken and had to put mattres on the floor. One window is stuck shut with paint and other window wouldn't close properly. Also there was a dirty pint glass on top of wardrobe. Although hotel itself was quite nice, the room left us disappointed.

The room although clean was dated and needed updating. Wallpaper on the ceiling was loose and marked. En suite was small and showed signs of wear.
Overnight stay in Grantown. Good location for town. Good parking at front of hotel. Nice outdoor space to sit and enjoy a drink in front of hotel. Comfy bed. Excellent breakfast. Staff at breakfast efficient at clearing tables and stocking the buffet.

Food and drink was expensive. 4.50 extra charge on your meal . Portion size was small for price . However food was good . Internet was poor some parts of hotel you couldn't get Internet.

Redecoration of the room and replacement carpet would be great.
Really lovely hotel on arrival, in beautiful location in the Cairngorms just within walking distance of the town which was full of interesting shops, and within walking distance of the River Spey. We had a king size bed which was VERY comfortable, the room was spacious but rather tired, carpet was stained and generally decoration in pretty rough condition. The shower worked fine. We didn't find the hotel noisy. Breakfast room lovely and the breakfast exceeded expectations, plenty of lovely food in the buffet and plenty of choice on pastries, drinks, cereals etc and extremely good value for money. No issues with coach parties. Had a small issue with the room which was promptly and professionally dealt with by the Manager. Overall happy with our overnight stay. Parking no problem on the premises. Everything in the room you would need including ironing board, and good hospitality tray in room. Nice view of well tended and pretty garden.

The shower over the bath was just awful! The water pressure was dire, the showerhead was very small and the curtain stuck to you all the time.
