Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomWe started badly with the owner not thinking we were coming although we’d paid but she made up for that with the breakfasts.

United KingdomIt wasn't a problem for us, but be aware that the bedroom is up two flights of stairs.
Sharon is a welcoming and helpful host. Nothing was too much trouble. She upgraded us for no extra charge and gave us lots of useful tips on the local area. The location is excellent.

Ideal location for exploring Faversham and the north Kent area. Lovely, friendly hostess running a delightful B&B where nothing is too much trouble. Great view of the Creek from the house to see the boats and tide ebb and flow. Short walk into town and other side of the Creek with plenty of places to eat and drink.

The location was nice and quiet, overlooking the creek. The host was very welcoming and was able to accommodate my wife's gluten intolerance at short notice.

United KingdomBe prepared for a fair bit of traffic getting in and out of the town at certain times as a lot of new homes are on their way!
Great location looking out over the lovely Creek, boats and birds. Very comfortable and relaxed setting only 10-15minutes walk into the town. Far enough away as a haven from the busy-ness and close enough to be in the heart of this lively market town. Our hostess had just the right balance of warm hospitality and giving us space to be. Lovely to chat to and spend time with. Also very knowledgeable about the local area and beyond; with great tips to access and enjoy the local nature reserves, walks and entertainment! Definitely looking forward to another visit ☺️

GermanyEverything was perfect, thank you!
It was a really cozy room and Sharon is a lovely host who really went above and beyond to make sure that I was comfortable. She had great recommendations for the area. Even though it's a bit of a walk from the bus / train station there are parking spots available and the walk is also very nice through the town centre. The train and bus connections to London, Canterbury and Dover are frequent and I had no troubles getting around.

Sharon was a fantastic host and reminded us of why we like such unique stays. Sharon was prompt and friendly when replying to questions, very kind with regards to offering us lifts, local information, lending us a map and allowing us to use the gorgeous terrace. We needed some modifications to the breakfast as one of us needed gluten and dairy free, nothing was too much trouble and breakfast was served with a smile and interesting conversation. There were lots of homemade treats( including bread) and fresh fruit served in a very relaxing environment with delicious coffee and frothy milk. We very much enjoyed our time in Faversham and the surrounding areas, but the quality of the accommodation and the location as well as the care offered by such a generous host was exceptional. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend staying here.

United KingdomIt was a little bit of a walk out of the town into a housing estate. (A very nice housing estate!) It was Sharon’s home so felt a little like we were intruding, although Sharon never made us feel like we were We did have a lovely private bathroom, but it wasn’t an en suite bathroom. It was across the hallway
The views from our room were beautiful. Great comfortable bed. Our host put a lot of effort into making our stay as pleasant as possible.
