It's quirky, there are chickens, it was clean and good value for money. Great host and great views into the valley.

    Nothing I didn't like, it's basic, but that's exactly what I want.

The kids love the friendly lambs, hens and dogs. The bunk beds are comfortable. Bed covers and towels are provided. There are toiletries in the shared bathroom. Everything is clean. Extremely good value for family of 4, his was our second stay here and we will be back. There is lots to do in the local area and it’s very well situated.

This is actually something I love about the property but if you don’t like animals, it may not be the place for you. It’s a croft after all!

Wonderful setting with great views. Good value accommodation, comfy beds. Chickens, sheep & dogs are regular visitors to your door which we enjoyed.

Communication from host could be better

Loved this little hut. Nice and cosy, surprisingly spacious inside. It has a kettle and microwave and some towels. There are plenty of chickens running around. They liked to visit frequently as well as the lovely border collies. Very friendly and obedient dogs. My children loved their time here. The lady who owns the huts is called Viv. Very lovely and along with the lady who does the cleaning and maintaining the huts they’ll both make sure you have everything you need before they leave you to enjoy your stay. Will definitely stay here again

Love the location on a small croft but only 12min from the town. Mountain view's and close to farm animals and wildlife...

No table or chairs in the hut, if it had been raining!

I like clean, comfortable and uncomplicated accommodation. This fitted the bill perfectly while being a bit different. Nice to be in the countryside rather than in a town

You are staying on a working farm and it's a fabulous experience. Viv is a brilliant host and you look down over the village and views are spectacular. You aren't simply buying a bed here you're getting an experience. My daughter got to feed the lambs and the chickens and dogs were frequent visitors. We used it as a base for Highland wildlife park. It was ideal. Brilliant experience

The shepherd's hut is well thought out, with everything that you need for a comfortable stay - the beds are super-comfy! . The addition of the kettle, toaster and microwave and all crockery was really helpful for making breakfast. We loved the chickens and dogs coming to visit us in the morning too!

Nothing really - I guess if we were coming back we'd probably do it in the warmer weather but nothing you can really do about that.

Lovely comfortable shepards hut to crash out in after a hard day's hiking in the mountains. On a pretty working farm with great views. The farms dog and hens came over and said hello!

Beautiful setting. Loved the chickens, sheep and dogs. Hut and bathroom were both very clean

Facilities - the shower door was coming off, meaning water was leaking on the floor. Mattresses were not comfortable and need to be replaced. My one was very soft in the middle, and impossible to get comfortable. Proper plates and cutlery would have been nice. Not chunky plastic children's ones. Also no sink to wash the dishes, or washing up liquid/dish cloth. There was no small fridge or UHT milk provided. The owner opened the front door a few times. It was me that waved and shouted hello. They never once came over to check if we needed anything or just to say hello/welcome. Seemed unfriendly and almost annoyed that we were there. The place is not expensive, but poor facilities mean the price is too high. My Son became a bit unwell on the 2nd day with a bug so we ended up leaving early.
