Wonderful setting with great views. Good value accommodation, comfy beds. Chickens, sheep & dogs are regular visitors to your door which we enjoyed.

Loved this little hut. Nice and cosy, surprisingly spacious inside. It has a kettle and microwave and some towels. There are plenty of chickens running around. They liked to visit frequently as well as the lovely border collies. Very friendly and obedient dogs. My children loved their time here. The lady who owns the huts is called Viv. Very lovely and along with the lady who does the cleaning and maintaining the huts they’ll both make sure you have everything you need before they leave you to enjoy your stay. Will definitely stay here again

No table or chairs in the hut, if it had been raining!

Love the location on a small croft but only 12min from the town. Mountain view's and close to farm animals and wildlife...

    Nothing

I like clean, comfortable and uncomplicated accommodation. This fitted the bill perfectly while being a bit different. Nice to be in the countryside rather than in a town

Nothing really - I guess if we were coming back we'd probably do it in the warmer weather but nothing you can really do about that.

The shepherd's hut is well thought out, with everything that you need for a comfortable stay - the beds are super-comfy! . The addition of the kettle, toaster and microwave and all crockery was really helpful for making breakfast. We loved the chickens and dogs coming to visit us in the morning too!

Lovely comfortable shepards hut to crash out in after a hard day's hiking in the mountains. On a pretty working farm with great views. The farms dog and hens came over and said hello!

The stunning location beats all possible perceived inconveniences associated with staying in a hut. Friendly responsive host. For those travelling on public transport like us the bus stop is just a stone throw's away.

Nil - it’s as described with a campsite style loo and shower in a separate structure. Went to bed and Garmin said I got 12h sleep. Perfect.

Exactly as described, I was there solo but would have been even better value as a group of hill walkers.

A bit uncomfortable with kids to cope with bathroom and toilet outside, specially during the night. But this was clearly mentioned in the description.

The location was outstanding and the view on the mountains was just incredible.

A drier path to the toilet from the cabin would be appreciated! The one toilet/shower room was shared with another cabin but you had to brave the wet to find out if it was occupied. A folding chair or two would add to the facility. The only seating was on the beds.

The hut provided a lovely glamping experience. The provision of bedding and towels was excellent. The view was superb! The shower room was clean and had heating (but not necessary for our visit in August).

We didn’t realise that the bathroom would be shared with other guests. Apart from that it was great.

It was a lovely rustic cabin on a working farm. It was so nice and quirky in a fun way. We were greeted by roaming friendly pigs on our arrival. The owner was super friendly and very helpful. The cabin was extremely basic but the bunk beds had very comfortable mattresses.

There was no correspondence from the host which was a little disappointing. There was a nearly empty jar of water on the step of both caravans but no explanation to which caravan we should use or what the water was for. The outside.was a little unkempt.

The views are amazing. The beds were really comfy and the bathroom worked well. The children loved walking on the country road and really enjoyed their stay. Their favourite hotel on the holiday in their words. We went to the highland museum in the morning which is brilliant and about a minute away in the car.
