Good location with friendly staff. Our room/s were fabulous. I booked a double room and when we arrived I was told we were in the loft. This consisted of 2 bedrooms a sitting room with a kitchenette and a large bathroom - wow! We had an evening meal there too and the food was extremely good. Breakfast options were great too. The full English was beautifully cooked. I’m sure we will definitely be returning.

This is the perfect place to stop on your way to Scotland or even to spend a few days, as there are nice walks to do around. The town is nice too. The room we had is actually a good size two-bedroom flat and included a great full English breakfast. It is one of the best value for money place to stay in England!

Cushion Cottage is a very generous size , very nicely refurbished and comfortable. I feel we totally lucked out finding this gem.

the parking is the only issue but that's unavoidable as the restrictions seem to cover most of the town

The bed is made of 2 single beds pushed together with no topper, so there was a large gap down the middle. The bed is also short, I’m 5’8 and my feet hung over the end of the bed.

We stayed at 5 The Mews. As soon as we walked in we knew we wouldn’t be leaving again that evening. Having traveled for 8 weeks it was like a home away from home. There are electric recliner couch and seat in the lounge which are devine. The TV gets all the streaming services if you have an account. There is air conditioning. The shower is easy to work and is hot and strong.

The loft suite was spacious and clean, with all comforts considered - including fans for the hot weather, ear plugs in case of noise (although there wasn’t any so we didn’t need them) and lots of towels. Lovely friendly welcome and nothing too much trouble for our host - really made to feel at home. Very family friendly and lovely for our dog too. Dinner and breakfast were amazing - great food, big portions and a fab atmosphere. We’ll be back!

It was great. We prepared our picnic lunch in the room before leaving and there was no knife in the room for cutting up sandwiches but had we gone downstairs to ask- I’m sure they would have provided one.

Great stay in Appleby whilst we were visiting for a wedding. The place had everything we needed and was safe and comfortable. Communication was excellent prior to arrival. We ended up adding on breakfast at the Crown and Cushion, which we would definitely recommend. Overall a very good stay!

Bathroom small. Not particularly friendly staff. Noisy at night from road outside and ill-fitting front door. A bit stuffy as windows don’t open.

Location good on high street near to pubs and shops. Pleasant village/small market town. Apartment comfortable and well furnished (but not to our taste), good kitchen with plenty of crockery and cutlery, washing machine and dish washer.

Friendly check in staff on arrival , accommodation was immaculately cleaned 10/10 for the cleaner. Pictures don’t do this place justice. Looks better in person and definitely value for money. Enjoyed my stay thank you !

Being an older property, all the charm included lower-height doors - watch your head if tall.

Cracking value for money in a perfect location for taking in Appleby itself. Staff were super friendly, space and setup of the 2-bed apartment were awesome and the breakfast was lovely.
