Great value. Evening food is excellent pu grub.

Hard bed.

The bed

Toilet wasn't as clean as it should have been

Good location, the breakfast was good and made to order. The staff was friendly

there is no lift and the stairs are cramped. So getting luggage up was an issue. Also there were noises at midnight, so no proper insulation

Staff and team were excellent, room dated and bathroom smelt damp, but was clean.

The room wile liked. Staff were pretty good.

In side of a hungry horse instead of a green king pub. The breakfast buffet was ok but all pastries were at least a doy old possibly older still had cling film over them from the kitchen and we're stale.

Super big king-size beds, gorgeous crisp linen. Good night's sleep. Convenient location. Very helpful friendly staff 👌

Everything was there. I'd had a long journey so didn't want to go hunting for places to eat etc. My room was contained in a corridor of 6 rooms so no real noise nuisance from other room users (apart from a late night three-some having a long conversation outside my door - some signs telling people to be quiet in the corridor after 10pm might be useful). What REALLy made this stay were the wonderful staff - in particular, Belle who helped me with all manner of queries after my phone decided to play up. She printed off detailed routes, always came back to me with whatever I'd asked for, a real bonus for the hotel owners. Also Carl (I think - blonde) who was the most friendly, personable member of staff ever and despite being rushed off his feet on BH weekend, managed to deliver with a cheery attitude. Greene King - hang on to these staff members - I stay in a lot of hotels/lodges etc and I consider myself qualified to make these comments

Not the fault of staff but two warm evenings and the windows were open so the smoke from designated outside smoking area did filter in to the raised eating area . I would have sat elsewhere had I realised but it was a small table suitable for a solo traveller, hence my choice..

Friendly staff. Easy free parking in the large car park. Right on the A1 junction, so great location.

Food not good. Evening meal luke warm and Breakfast was cold to luke warm, but it wasn't expensive.

Bed was very comfortable.

No one was at the reception for long time both at check in and check out times.

One of the bedside lamps was missing and although the helpful receptionist looked in other rooms which unoccupied but there wasn't another available which made that side of the room a bit dark. Next morning we also had to report the wall plug by the long mirror which didn't work and made a fizzing noise when plugged in.

The bed was good and the room was spacious, I enjoyed the breakfast, the evening and breakfast staff were very pleasant, and a credit to the company.

The bathroom is tired, and the toilet was difficult to flush. The evening meal wasn't good, although it may be been my poor choice, although the Katsu curry sauce was nice.

Easy access, loads of parking, really friendly helpful staff, pub onsite was perfect!

Variety and value of the menu. Friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff. Comfortable bed.

Probably could do with a 'grab rail' to assist getting in and out of the bath / shower.

Sadly hot water system was broken. Staff were superb. Steaks were great. Enjoyable stay overall
