I only have a couple of small niggles. Firstly, as with many places I stay my first one is about mirrors. There was no mirror in the main bedroom at all and the one in the second bedroom was nowhere near a socket. I had to blow dry my hair in the lounge where the small mirror was actually too high on the wall for me to see in comfortably (yes, I am quite short!). My second thing is that our booking was changed at very short notice (day of travel) from apartment 4, which I had purposely chosen because of the stated larger size of the parking space (we were planning to travel in my partner's larger vehicle). The reason given was that booking.com had booked out apartment 4 last minute the night before. Given that I had booked it on booking.com several days prior, I can't understand how they managed to book it out again or why it was us that had to change apartments and not the later bookers. Thankfully, we had not left home so we could change over and take my car instead. There is no way my partner's car would have fitted into the small garage which would have left us with the problem of nowhere to park - precisely what we wanted to avoid.

This review is for DARTSIDE ONE not 4 as our booking was changed last minute. The apartment was lovely. Well appointed and very clean. Plenty of toiletries in the bathroom, some washing up liquid, a cloth, sponge and tea towel in the kitchen plus tea, coffee and milk sachets. The shower cubicle was a nice large size, in contrast to the tiny ones you get in some places! The property is well placed for the centre of town, the ferries, shops, pubs and restaurants. We found the double bed in the main bedroom a little small so on the second night, my partner had that to himself and I moved over to the single. We can't comment on the cooker, washing machine or microwave as we did not use them but they certainly looked lovely and clean. Plenty of cooking utensils provided as well. Parking space was in a small garage which was fine for my little Peugeot 108 but it would be a struggle to fit anything in there much bigger - see "what we didn't like" for more on this!

Furniture in seating area is getting old

Very clean and warm, lovely addition of the toiletries in the bathroom. Car park space fab. When there was no hairdryer this was fixed within the hour

We couldn’t lock one of the doors onto the balcony. Surprised there was no shampoo or soap in the bathroom. Bedroom with the harbour view was very tight for a double bed but the second bedroom is spacious.

Great being so close to the water, shops and restaurants. Good sized tv screen for the Olympics. Well equipped kitchen. Beautiful town.

Great location. Only a few minutes' walk to the river front, pubs and eateries. Car parking is an added bonus although there is limited space.

Having stayed here about three years ago the apartments seem a bit tired. The sofa and chairs in flat 4 need replacing. Mirror in bathroom needs replacing and the rusty old thing next to the barbecue needs removal. Overall the main stairs and stairwells could do with a bit of cleaning and decoration.

Parking awful - very difficult to access our space, internet get going off and fridge only worked intermittently and leaked.

Location great, beds and seating comfortable , light and airy inside, clean.

The parking allocation - the spot is so close to the wall and post it was such a tight squeeze to try and park. We have a mondeo and it took so long to park. If my daughter hadn't been there my 71 year old husband would not have been able to park in the spot. If you have anything larger, like an SUV then you wouldn't be able to park there This is the only downside to the accommodation

Impossible to park in the allocated space, unless you have a very small car. Had to park on the main road, not ideal when getting back in the dark winter afternoons. This will not be possible May to September, so parking would be a costly addition. Steep concrete stairs to the apartments. Not exactly what we expected. Double bedroom small and only had one bedside table, and almost touching the wall on the one side. Other bedroom was cramped with a single and double bed instead of 2 singles as we thought. Signs of wear and tear eg grubby mat in lounge, blinds missing parts and didn’t close completely. Although new , the shower was not very powerful.

Good location, value for money, well equipped modern kitchen, good heating system, good tv/entertainment system so able to watch films on a rainy day.

Parking spot for apartment 4 difficult to drive into. Carpet and definitely rug could do with cleaning. Wall paper beginning to peel off but nothing that would stop us from coming again

Walls very thin. We could hear the neighbours next door talking while we were in the bathroom, sounded like they were in the same room as us! Parking in bay 4 was very tight.

Nothing it was all good the only issue was the parking space we managed but if anyone had a bigger car ( we have an hyundai suv ) if might be difficult to get in the space but this is noted on the property description so we were aware

The apartment was spotless. It is spacious and comfortable. We loved it so much we booked an extra night. The view from the balcony is great. Despite being right in the town centre, it is so quiet. We will be back!

Not quite the 9/10 I was expecting from the write ups though. The parking space was difficult (partly because of rubbish left in the spot and it is tight anyway). Two of the chairs are very worn and tired. The outlook is not what I was expecting and the neighbours were noisy so the sound proofing wasn't brilliant. The most frustrating thing was trying to get hold of the letting agents in response to emails about key collection. Not all emails were answered and the phone number was never answered, or messages left responded to. 3 days running I got the same 2 emails. When I tried to select the key pick up time it wouldn't let me respond to the time it specified.... I turned up at the agents office as specified to find a note saying they were closed go next door. Next door were not very helpful and just told me to use the lock box. At this point I hadn't realised there was a key code in an email as all the letting agent emails said go to the office. Key box collection of keys had to be arranged separately and they never answered my calls/emails, but that was what we were supposed to do. First time I've ever had a problem with Booking.com and key retrieval.

Good location, all the basics there. Good value, included a parking space. Toiletries included.
