The water pressure in both showers was very poor unfortunately and one toilet did not flush too well and took a long time to refill. Other than that, all good.Indoor swimming pool was lovely, changing rooms look tired.

Breakfast was lovely. Good sized English breakfast, good coffee and toast. Room - we were upgraded to an apartment so no complaints there regarding the size of the room! Room was clean and towels replaced each day. The view was overlooking the lovely gardens out to the sea. Superb.

Breakfast was nice but not very hot when we arrived. They make it and leave under lamps. Would of been better to make to order as not that busy, only 3 people eating when we arrived at 8 am but food under lamps was cold.

We really enjoyed our room the views were amazing. The staff were all really helpful and was nice to see happy faces every time we spoke to reception. The back gate to the beach was excellent. We enjoyed the indoor pool but didn't get round to using the outdoor pool, so need to return for this ! Sunday Carvery was very nice. We enjoyed are stay and hope to return in the future.

The hotel, especially our apartment is very run down and tired but it was clean. Unfortunately the breakfast wasn't as good as last year (no smoked salmon or croissants/pastries) but overall food very good. The free WiFi was bad.

Amazing location less than 5 minute walk to beautiful sandy beach, ice-creams and cafes. Recommend Abys for lunch! Great facilities. We loved the sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, pools (indoor+ outdoor), pitch & putt, tennis, croquet.

The rooms are old and tired, but you are not paying for luxury, and the rest of the positives more than make up for this. It’s a real gem of a place.

We loved our stay, the location gardens and facilities were excellent and the hotel has a lovely warm family atmosphere. The views from our rooms were fabulous. Clean and comfortable beds. Addition of a fan was welcome.

Very dated furniture. Curtains missing hooks so couldn’t close properly. Squeaky beds. Room would benefit from a good clean.

The hotel was generally ‘tired’ and appeared due for some investment to update it.

The rooms are in major need of a renovation. Our room was dated and the bed was too soft for our taste and very small. It’s not helped that you could hear other guests - even their coughing and snoring. A lot of money needs to be invested to make sure we return

The location was excellent. The grounds were lovely and it was very easy to walk to the beach. We ate at the restaurant for both nights and we can highly recommend the fish and chips. We paid for the breakfasts which were also excellent The staff go out of their way to ensure you enjoy your stay

Fire doors old and need updating . Lots of banging throughout the night . Noisy plumming .Unfortunately other guests having a loud drunken row at 2am I had to get the night staff to threaten to call the police . So bad night sleep for us but shame as beds very comfy .

The rear gate and pathway through the garden back was not illuminated which made it difficult and we would have been stuck if we didn’t have our torches on our phones. In addition, it was disappointing that the bar shut to residents at 21:30. In addition, there was a smell in the apartment which smelt like an old people’s home.. But will definitely come back and stay again.

We thought that the size of the apartment was great, well equipped and the indoor pool was lush for the girls.

Not too much of a downside but the room was exceptionally dated. I would say it was last decorated / fitted in the late 80s maybe early 90s no later than that.

The door didn't lock well on the room, took a few times from inside the room to make it lock. However the hotel itself was great.

One fella who worked there was very helpful and kind. The view was lovely, the rooms were good sizes and the location was great. The grounds and pools were lovely, and the access to the tennis courts was great also.

The relaxing chairs in the suite were ripped. There were not enough pillows - only 2 for a double bed and when I asked for more it took 2 hours and for me to request VERY firmly before the two VERY grumpy receptionists (one on the afternoon shift and one on the evening shift) and the extremely RUDE night porter finally got me more pillows from another suite! I doubt I'll be staying here again with people like that on staff.

Lots of facilities to use. Very good location for what I needed. Bedroom was spacious. Lily was very pleasant, helpful, informative and couldn't be nicer/more efficient

The plumbing needs attention - almost impossible to regulate the water for a shower.

Swimming pools and other leisure facilities were excellent, and the staff were very helpful and friendly.
