I can’t think of anything!

We loved our stay at doghouse Margate. The whole property was immaculate and very homely. From the very start of our stay we were really well looked after. The dog biscuits left with our dogs name on them was such a lovely, personalised touch and so very thoughtful. The honesty bar was great and overall just had everything we needed and more. Our breakfast each morning was really tasty and to a high standard. It’s perfect walking location to the beach too.

We came down for the weekend. It is a lovely house. The room was spacious and comfy. The breakfast was fantastic. Its a short walk to margate town, with the caves amd shell grotto to explore on the way.

My daughter and I stayed for one night with our dog. We found The Doghouse to be clean and comfortable and Mel was a good host. Breakfast was of a very high quality, excellent and delivered to our room. Even our dog Betsy had her own breakfast, she was also left homemade doggy biscuits. Would definitely stay again and recommend to anyone looking to stay in Margate, dog or no dog

Car parking was a little hit and miss but in reality it was fine both times we tried to park.

Every possible need was catered for. They made a real fuss of our dog - and that was a very nice touch. The honest box for soft drinks is a great idea. And fresh milk available to make tea was much appreciated.

The road into Old Margate (Northdown Road) was dirty and noisy, but the alternative route on the coast road was much better and a nice flat walk into town taking 20 minutes.

The hotel was clean and comfortable on a quiet street. The breakfast was served in the room and was very good. The immediate area is rather run down, but Old Margate was very interesting with nice restaurants and bars and well worth a visit.

Parking in Norfolk Rd, although free of charge, can be hard to find. On the other hand the bus stop is only just round the corner so once we got parked we left the car where it was.

Older style house, beautifully renovated and decorated. Some luxury touches - eg dressing gowns and slippers provided. Coffee machine in the room. All the breakfasts were lovely and the Full English was one of the best we’ve ever tasted., everything cooked to absolute perfection. Mel and Fe both lovely welcoming hosts who really wanted you to have a happy stay.

Beautifully renovated property. The room was bright and airy. Plenty of room, spotlessly clean and felt really luxurious, with new slippers and clean hotel style dressing gowns, everything is thought of. Dog biscuits and breakfasts, fantastic human breakfasts too, well stocked drinks and treats with honesty box.

It was a bit of a step down to the bathroom was my only concern but I managed not to trip as I'm very clumsy!! Also could maybe do with a strip on the door so the light from the hallway doesn't come through.

Great room, good location as we walked to Margate and also to Botany Bay. Lovely little dog treats provided on arrival which was super cute & well received :) Breakfast was really nice and the dog was happy with his selection. Really comfy bed and the room was a good size. Lovely bathroom, really nice decor.

We were met by friendly, helpful hosts and this set the tone for a welcoming and comfortable stay. Beautifully renovated rooms and stylish decor made this a lovely bolt hole from the cold after a day out.

A top up of the lovely coffee pods on day 2 would have been appreciated, but we did have access to tea, coffee and kettle which was handy.

Beautiful place to spend the weekend, Margate’s main attractions are all within walking distance. Room was large and spotless, breakfast was first class. Big thank you to the team there for their hospitality.

Literally nothing

My boyfriend and I had a lovely stay at Doghouse Margate. I was blown away by the hospitality of Mel and Fe - they lent us beach chairs and a beach umbrella for the day and were available whenever we had a question. The room and en suite bathroom were spotless and the BREAKFAST - omg so tasty!! 😋 I could not have imagined a more perfect weekend getaway. Thank you for everything, Mel and Fe! We will be back soon.

Only small issue with a buzzing mirror in the bathroom but they're looking into the issue. Everything else was amazing.

Very small detail, but would have been better if there was a larger dustbin in the room.
