The mattresses weren't the most comfortable. However on the balance of everything else I would definitely stay here again.

Breakfast was awesome, staff were very friendly in Reception, at the Bar and in the Breakfast room

The room was too hot even with the fan on. There was no fridge to keep things like water cool.

It was in a nice quiet location but the room was a bit hot even with the fan on. the view out of the window was facing the car park.

The shower sounded as though it was going to take off it was so noisy, and on the hottest night of the year, we only had a cool/hot air fan, which was totally inadequate. Unfortunately, the sun was shining into our room until sunset, which didn’t help.

Position for our planned activities, and the surroundings, there were some lovely country walks. The breakfast was one of the best I have had at a hotel.

The staff could have been more engaging. It was not busy so they had time to welcome customers etc.

The breakfast was an excellent buffet. The staff were pleasant but did not engage. The food was good but the coffee was tasteless.

Since it was the start of the Summer holidays, it looked as though a new group of younger staff were being trained to work in the restaurant So, on balance, restaurant service could have been much better. During the first part of our stay, we had to search around the whole restaurant to find our table (using the signs for our two rooms on it). Sadly, on our last morning (simply because staff numbers appeared to be lower and those on duty seemed to consist of younger staff) there were no room signs on any table. So, we had to look for a staff member to tell us where we were able to sit. Also - on arrival, although we'd asked for two rooms on the ground floor (one for my wife and one in another room for her long-standing female friend in the other room) - simply because both ladies are in their late 70's and find stairs really difficult - we were only offered two rooms on the first floor,, that were next to each other. The final thought that we had was that the hotel rooms were separate from the dining area (meaning that we had to walk about 200-300 yards between them - to find the Dining area (which could be difficult for older people - especially during Winter months, if it was raining). We also felt that the hotel was now starting to look "dated".

The surroundings of the Golf Club were pleasant - and it was fairly central for each of the places that we wanted to visit during our 4 night stay. The breakfasts were good and plentiful - though the fruit with the cereals was limited to prunes and grapefruit - the latter of which we cannot eat, because of our medication. The accommodation was reasonable and seemed to be well-kept- though the upstairs rooms (except the corner rooms) - were smaller than average.

It didn’t feel like we were treated well. We arrived late due to the train, and were told to pick up keys at the clubhouse. A very young man, who seemed to have never checked someone in before, stumbled through the process. He gave us keys and pointed to where we would find the lodge. It was ACROSS the street, and BEHIND a completely different building! I can’t believe he didn’t walk us over there himself! Then…when we got to the lodge door, a large man was fumbling in his pockets. He eventually admitted he didn’t have his key or the door code, then stood back and looked at me expectantly to let him in! So…here I am, a woman with her 17 years old son, in the dark, with a bunch of luggage, and a stranger is expecting me to just let him into a secured building I plan to sleep in… Nope!! I let him know that wasn’t happening, and he needed to find help for himself. I stood back and waited while he called his son down to let him in. Then!! He rushed inside and angrily shut the door behind him. Incredibly rude. I waited for them to clear away, then used our code to let myself and my son in. In short…their after hours check in procedure could use some improvement. It was a very regrettable experience.

It was on a beautiful golf course.

Very noisy at night, we could hear absolutely everything our neighbours were saying, and they weren’t being loud. You could hear people walking around their rooms.

Good size rooms. Facilities in room were lovely, good amount of tea and coffee on our rooms. Check in was quick and easy and the location was great and easy to find.

Trying to find the hotel initially. We had to use SatNav to get there. It was closer to Bere Regis than East Stoke than the description suggested.

Its location to the Tankfest at Bovington. Grounds were lovely and it was very quiet. Food was excellent and very punctually delivered. Very relaxed atmosphere.

The temperature in the room. A stand alone unit was provided however the room was very warm, which was a shame as it made our stay somewhat uncomfortable. My son said, if providing clubs for the driving range (he's new to golf) a greater selection of clubs should be available. There wasn't a driver available.

The hotel had a golf course and facilities, which I wasn't aware of when I booked but it did make my son happy! The rooms were well equipped and the beds were very comfy. At breakfast, the buffet had either fried or scrambled eggs. I don't eat either however the staff did get some poached eggs for me. There was a wide selection of items to choose from on both the hot buffet as well as the pastries and cereals. I felt there could have been a greater selection of fruit to accompany the granola and yogurts. The staff we encountered throughout were hospitable and helpful when we needed them.
