Everything, this house is a true find, beautifully looked after, clean, spacious and hidden away. We had such a cosy welcome from a warm fire when we arrived, which really was so kind of the owner to do this. Would highly recommend this place

Wonderful place. Absolutely stunning views and extremely quiet, a bit off the beaten track. Had everything we needed to make dinners together and have family time, and close enough to the various Skye attractions that we were able to make day trips. The coal fireplace wasn’t a big deal, although we have experience with wood stoves so that helped. It would always smell a bit like coal in the living room after lighting which was the biggest drawback. The house was plenty warm in April. Things we would have liked: - Shampoo and so on for the shower - More extra blankets. There were just enough for the people here and some were too short for taller folks, so one person slept with multiple socks on (feet uncovered). - Replace the mattresses in the smaller bedroom (not the bunk room). One of them especially is very collapsed and not suitable for adults with back issues. - Cooking oil and more spices and so on. Really wonderful and unique place either way, I would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a quiet getaway.

We loved our stay here, even though the weather wasn't great. Beautiful home, with good sized rooms. The hosts are very attentive and left well informed instructions.

The stay here was an absolute delight—far beyond our expectations! The place was spotless, beautifully maintained, and the views were simply breathtaking, making it a perfect retreat. Kyle was an incredible host, always available to assist with any questions. Even when we experienced a power cut at 11:00 PM, he promptly helped us out, ensuring we felt completely at ease throughout our stay. The combination of the peaceful surroundings, stunning scenery, and Kyle’s attentive hospitality made this a truly memorable experience. I’m already looking forward to coming back in the spring!!

Drumgarry was perfect for our needs with a lot of space and options for everyone visiting. A very well equipped kitchen and a fun time getting the fire started and keeping it running with a preset fireplace and unlimited coals to hand. Fantastic views across the coast and very comfortable beds.

Location was perfect as nice and quiet and a quick couple mins drive to the ferry. Also a grocery shop just down the road or for more amenities a 20/25 min drive. The house is lovely and spacious and clean and plenty rooms for the family. The view from the house is absolutely amazing!

Beautiful house tucked up behind the hotel on the hill allowing you beautiful views of the sea and mallaig. Two king-size beds were welcomed as a family Who brought their mum and dad also. We had a one year old and a ten year old with us and the house was easy to make safe by lifting fire lighting equipment up out of reach and covering sockets (which we have left for the next family should they need them). Big table to eat family meals at and two bathrooms so there is always one free. Fire was really easy to use and keep topped up for hot water and warmth. Would recommend highly as great communication from the owner.

Bunk beds need replaced Bed in back room needs replaced Damp in back room, bathroom and utility room. Not visible but could smell. Decking in need of power wash. Garden great space, requires work. Car port could be great space. No lock on bathroom door Floorboard lifting coming into living room. General TLC, decoration. Wee welcome pack would be nice touch. The above did not make a negative to our stay by any means. Just things that were picked up. Hosts may not pick these things up as they are not living in the property. Kyle, thank you for allowing us to stay. And, I do hope you would have us back again and your house and situation is truly amazing!!

We really did not like that we had to start the coal fireplace in order to have hot water. We didn't use the shower/bath because of that. Kitchen sink water was also cold when we tried to do dishes. The shower that had hot water on demand had a leak and floor was wet. In fairness, we were notified of the leak a day or maybe 2, prior to our stay and told that we could use that shower but without the lights as that was where the leak was located. The alternative was to use the other shower where we would have needed to start a coal fire. We were told by the owner, we could cancel if needed due to the inconvenience but we were not able to find any other lodging on short notice. Due to water on the floor and having bad knees, I was not comfortable using that shower room either for obvious safety reasons. It would have been a plus to know we would need to bring our own scrubber to wash dishes with and our own dish towels to dry them. I do understand that this was someone's property but there were so many instructions about how to use different things in the house, that we weren't really able to relax and enjoy it much.

Nice and clean, good location near road but not on road. Quiet and pleasant. There were some snags to be honest, without those, it would have been the perfect place to stay.
