Unfinished room, no sound proofing at all, could hear every word next door was saying as well as snoring. Not easy to find in the dark, rooms are in a separate block not next to bar and restaurant area.

    Clean, comfortable bed, location.

The rooms faced the front onto the main raid and we're noisy. The carpet in the dinning area was heavily marked and needs replacing.

The room was lovely and very clean. The waiting staff were pleasant. The food was good overall.

Bathroom, separate hot and cold water tap, which makes it very difficult to use it without burning ourselves. The carpet was little bit dirty.

Well located. Comfortable beds. Parking just in front of lodge.

The older building that had the bunks for my family (4 pax) was quite outdated. Beds, shower, carpets - all need redoing badly. I don’t think the price was deserved. The location however was excellent.

We had two separate rooms. The main building was new and great.

The room was tired and needed to be repainted. Needed a bit of attention to detail in cleaning ie behind the bathroom door very dusty and at the back of toilet pedestal. Work had been started on the bathroom new plasterboard and skirtings but not painted which wasn’t an issue for us but could be for some people.

Staff very friendly and also accommodating of us traveling with our dog. We were a very early departure due to ferry travel and this wasn’t an issue. Staff replied quickly to messages re the dog and our early departure. Clean linen, pillow and mattress protectors present. Toilet, sink and shower clean. Very good value for money.

    A Pleasant Surprise

Some of the tea cups at the room weren't exactly clean, but nothing serious.

Not gonna lie, I was slightly worried from some of the negative feedback here, but were very pleasantly surprised! The personal was very friendly and easy to talk to, gave us also some good hiking trips, the room (the adjected building in the backyard) was indeed a bit small, but clean and quiet, with own parking lot. The breakfast you order every morning directly in the restaurant and it was also good, we had no complaints whatsoever. And the location (for the nessie-fueled kids) is TIP-TOP! Sure, it's not a luxury 5-star resort, but for an adventurous family nothing to be complained about.

While the location is a bit remote and far from Loch Ness, we truly enjoyed the wooden lodge itself. Nestled in the woods, it offered plenty of space and a peaceful, rustic atmosphere that made for a relaxing stay.

    Noise and Odor Issues

The room we were given faces the back of the hotel, and in the external wall of the room run the ducts of the kitchen’s ventilation system. The noise caused by the system was very loud and created vibrations against the wall until 10:00 pm. In addition, the smell coming from the system was very strong, filling the room with the scent of “cooked and fried food.” We had to keep the window wide open until late at night to get rid of the smell. Furthermore, the internal walls are very thin, so all the noises coming from the hallway can be heard.

The property is in a good location for visiting the Loch Ness area, close to the village center, which can be reached in just a few minutes on foot. The rooms have been recently renovated, small & simple but welcoming for short stays.

The room needed some plastering and painting completed. The extractor fan in the bathroom didn't work which left the bathroom very damp after showers. We reported the problem but it wasn't resolved before we left.
