Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IrelandI stayed in a small, comfortable room with a shared bathroom. The place was clean, and the person who welcomed me was attentive. It's a good place to spend the night before continuing journey.
The location close to the train station and the port.

TaiwanClean and the owner was helpful.
The owner helped with the PIN and explained how to gain entry soon after I phoned. My single room at the back was compact and the bathroom was shared, but it was 45 quid, which is about as cheap as it gets. I had a bicycle that was stored in the adjacent property and the owner wheeled it our when I called his number in the morning. It's close to the Ferry, which was a bonus.

United KingdomSorry for this, Hope they take it as positive feed back. No one to greet me. Too many stairs. Place was very dusty and still under construction. Need to put up a message in the room saying sorry for all the dust. Not disabled friendly where I stayed. Too many stairs, but next door was still been renovated and it was all on the ground floor. Hope the rooms there will soon be available for Disabled travelers.
The room was just the right size and a comfy bed. I was happy to have an endless supply of the little milk cartons. A lot of places only supply 2-4 at a time.

United KingdomNo light in bathroom apart from an angle-poise lamp, plugged in in the kitchen, with wire stretched under the bathroom door. Duvet could have been bigger. On Sunday morning, I stepped out at 8.30am for a cigarette and closed the front door behind me, only to realise the keysafe was broken and the key within had vanished. I rang proprietor, didn't receive assurance that they'd attend, so had to bang on door til another resident came down and let me in. This was an hour before my train home.
No breakfast. Location ideal for train station/ferry terminal. A comfy bed and a quiet room, when the proprietor had stopped building work on adjoining flat. A work in progress. Running hot and cold water in kitchen, and a kettle and TV in room.

United KingdomCleanliness needs some improvement …. whilst carpets towels and bedding are very clean, the handrail up to the rooms needs cleaning and the main lampshade in room was very dusty. Also the skirtings, bedside table and doors, in bedroom and shower need a proper clean. Window in room was dirty - a quick going over with white vinegar would solve this. There’s a recess on the other side of bed and the carpet there needs hoovering/cleaning too. I think if all this was done, the property would be much more desirable.
The lady at property is lovely and very helpful. Kettle in room, with lots of tea, coffee, sugar, and a couple of speciality coffee and 2 biscuits. There is access to a small kitchen too with a sink and microwave. Very handy. Not far to go to the shared shower room.

AustraliaThe building is rundown, and the entrance stairs are not clean so first impressions were bad. The front door has no lock. When I arrived there was noone there - you have to call them to get in but that is not made clear in the booking. The bedside light didn't work. Uh
The single room was clean and comfortable and luckily at the back so it was quiet. Overall it was fine for an overnight stay.

United KingdomGood value for money. The bed was comfortable but there were stains on the sheets, lint, the bed didn’t seem the cleanest. Other than that everything was great!
The staff were great! I got in much later than I expected and they allowed me to check in so late in the evening and waited for me to get there! Very thankful for that! The room is what you pay for but great location close to ferry/ train and very close to the town centre!

United KingdomThis appears to be a new conversion and a few things need bedding in (landing and stairs light switch location for example). If you need extensive soundproofing, lots of wardrobe space and private facilities - then this is not the place for you). Note that Google maps may take you flying past on the main drag - you'll need to turn onto the side streets before or after the location.
Value for money and location - I'm catching the 05:30 train and I just need somewhere comfortable and convenient for a few hours. This is basic accommodation - no frills but I paid £50 - a fraction of what other local hotels were asking and, according to Google maps I am less than 100m from the.railway station (walking distance a little further as the direct route appears to be out of service)

United KingdomLack Of Parking, Security at the front door, It needs to be a digi code lock as the front door wasn’t been locked with a key by the residents, anyone could open the front door, I was not impressed with The security or Parking!
I responded to a message from the owner but he didn’t respond, I advised him in advance about being a blue badge holder and needed parking close by, This wasn’t possible and No one got back to Me, I would not stay there again unfortunately! ☹️
