We waited at the bar, to order drinks and a meal, for ten minutes. In the end we gave up and went elsewhere to eat.

The breakfast was late and despite telling them what time we wanted breakfast and what we wanted (on their provided tick list). The chef was late and we were only able to have a bacon sandwich since we were leaving at 9

Very hot in the room, fan didnt work. Having windows open meant noise from church nearby of it ringing its bell every half hour, car alarms. Mattress very soft, tired rooms. Cleaning of carpet could have been better.

Location for Sedgefield is good. Staff are very polite and pleasant. Big breakfast.

The room was a little old fashioned but we expected that.

Location was great to allow us to walk to the Hardwick Festival. Staff friendly, room as expected and a great breakfast to set us up for the day.

We found that we were aware of the springs in the mattress which was particularly noticable on the first night. Perhaps needs a new mattress or a good mattress topper.

The cooked breakfast was very good with good choice of items. Good size room and bathroom.Location was Ideal for visiting family. Had one evening meal with family members which was very enjoyable, well cooked and the service was good.

Great location right in town with parking. The breakfast was really good and the food offered throughout the day was good. Staff were really friendly and the rooms spacious and beds comfortable. Would definitely return and recommend.

Very noisy until midnight when it closed, rooms were on the front where people were sitting outside but it is a pub so it’s a chance you take.

Great location especially if you like walking. Room nice, comfortable and clean. Pub itself extremely popular, excellent food. Staff very friendly and we were well looked after.

The bed mattresses were very soft and when the venue considers changing them I would suggest they select something a little firmer. In addition the fan in the bathroom was very noisy, and the door on the shower/toilet offered very little privacy The lighting in the room was inadequate and very dim as well as being very old. The room carpet could also have done with a clean. Perhaps time for a room refurbishment ?

The breakfast and the evening meal taken were both very nice, well cooked and served to our Menu order and in a timely manner.

Shower room had no means of obscuring the window so you feel a little exposed. Decor was a bit dated but, in fairness, it’s an old inn. There was a good car park but it was unmarked, leaving you vulnerable to selfish parking.

Food was very good with a decent range of options. Breakfast perfectly fine, again with options. Room was reasonably equipped.

Rooms are not modern but fit in with the general ambience of the building with its original stonework and beams. Modernisation would spoil this oldy world charm. Breakfast which was included has continental with full English available also. If eating in the bar of restaurant on an evening bring your appetite. Great menu choices and very large portions at a reasonable price. I have to commend one gentleman who may actually br the owner. As I took ill on the first night and he went out of his way to ensure I was okay which thankfully I was by next morning.

Bed was too hard for me , the breakfast was disorganised, they mixed up my meal with my friends and then served both meals, even though my friend was not down stairs !! Plus staff were smoking outside and the smoke drifted to where we were not good
